Yeehaw, giddy-up par'ner
Great game that still holds up all these years later. Sure, it doesn't hold a candle to the masterpiece that is the sequel, but nothing can. RDR2 is unmatched and divine, but that's another topic. Both installments are fun, engrossing, and definitely worthy of Platinuming.

A must have for the PS4 collection
It’s Red Dead Redemption. How can anyone give any less than 5 stars? This game was awesome when it came out a long time ago and it’s still great to revisit when I feel nostalgic.Oh yeah, and it has the DLC contents along with a slight bump in visuals. Now I can play RDR 1 & 2 on the same console. Can finally let the old 360 rest.

One of the best games ever. So many hours of enjoyment. Undead Nightmare is the best DLC ever created, bar none.

Amazing Gem brought back to modern consoles
Anyone who has played RDR knows this is a amazing game. The update to run at higher frame rates, higher resolution, and play smoothly is on point. I do wish Playstation would just do backwards compatibility since I own this on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 disc version is playable on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X. I'm still happy I can play this on the PS5 but the price should be $29.99 not $49.99 is the big take away for me. Especially since they released it on the PS4 disc.

Awesome
So glad I played Red Dead Redemption 2 first. Excellent gameplay . Really captivating story. I know John Marston killed over 100 people in the game. From western towns to Mexico and back. Most characters fleshed out pretty well. I thought finally killing the former gang like Dutch would be the last act but not so. It does get tedious doing missions that dont involve hunting the former gang members but it all ties together eventually. If you play RDR 2 first youll notice the difference in graphics but the story holds your interest. RDR2 had a lot more side things to do. If you played RDR 2 first then the towns will be familiar. Plus you dont have to take long horseback rides in every mission because some have quick destination burttons you can use. If you played any GTA games the shooting mechanic is quite familiar. All in all great game for the price. I thought the ending sucked but it made sense since John Marston was the John Wick of the west. Buy it ! You wont be disappointed if you like Westerns. Even had a spaghetti western soundtrack.
