I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas so I’ll come back and let you know what she thinks.

cool robot that moves decently fast and has some cool features. not sure about battery life yet.

The media could not be loaded. My granddaughter is growing out of the toys we've had at our house for her sleepovers, so when I saw this little cutie, I knew she'd love it. We gave the DoDoMagxanadu Remote Control Robot Toy to her as a surprise reward for good behavior, and she took to it right away.What we like:1) Semi-rechargeable toy! Throwing batteries in the garbage makes me cringe, and finding a place that will recycle them is challenging, so I've been leaning toward rechargeable items whenever I can find them. Sure, rechargeable batteries wear out eventually as well, but not nearly as often. Now, the remote control device does require throw-away batteries, but remotes require so little energy to operate, their batteries usually last for quite awhile. Since motorized items require more energy to run, I like that the robot itself is rechargeable.2) Pretty much plug & play: The remote batteries and a handy little screwdriver with which to install them are included with the toy! This little feature makes a real difference when giving this toy as a gift on Christmas morning, when many parents are smacking their heads because they forgot to purchase batteries. The robot also came almost fully charged, so my granddaughter could enjoy it right away. Smiles all around for these thoughtful conveniences!3) Cute & compact: I think the smaller size lends to this remote control robot's utter cuteness, because it is really adorable. This also means it's easily tucked away when my granddaughter goes home.4) Quick charge & easy pairing: Because it came with a partial charge already, I'm not yet sure how long it takes to charge this item from empty to full. However, after my granddaughter played with it for awhile, it charged within minutes. Pairing the remote control to the toy is seamless; after inserting the batteries into the remote, slide the switch on the back of the robot to "On", press the center button on the remote, and they're paired. Easy-peasy!5) Parent-friendly: The robot delightfully chitters, chirps and plays a few fun children's tunes - which can be instantly silenced with the push of a button when the adults in the room have had enough. For my husband and me, this feature is a blessing!6) Color-changeable eyes: The illuminated eyes are a nice feature, and can be changed from a lovely cobalt blue to green to red to a quickly changing 10-12 color pattern that includes teal, pink & purple - and they can also be turned off. Another nice, parent-friendly feature.What we think could be better:1) The sounds the robot makes are quite loud, and there is no apparent control available with which to adjust the volume, except to switch it off entirely. A worthwhile improvement would be to include the option to adjust the volume as well.2) Best for bare floors: I've found that, while it will operate somewhat on shallow carpeting, it isn't consistent. In addition, it doesn't transition well between bare floors and throw rugs. Even with six wheels on the bottom, only two are rubberized while the rest are smooth plastic. I'm pretty sure that, if the rest of the wheels were rubberized, it would run much better on carpeting. As it stands, bare floors & other smooth, flat surfaces are best for consistent results.3) While there are many conveniences that come with this DoDoMagxanadu Remote Control Robot Toy, a charging block is not one of them. You will have to use an already existing charging block or USB-friendly power strip. We have plenty available in our house, so I didn't find this problematic for us, but thought it was worth mentioning.All in all, I would definitely recommend this DoDoMagxanadu Remote Control Robot Toy as a fun, affordable gift for your little one - providing you have enough bare surfaces for uninterrupted play.

Ordered the DoDoMagxanadu Remote Control Robot as a gift. This little robot is a lot of fun. The functions are pretty simple, but it moves surprisingly quick and is responsive to the remote control. The remote control is also simple enough to use, so it is appropriate for the ages recommended for this little robot and can be fun for adults as well.The colored eyes and sounds help make it a little more fun to use for kids. It pretty much moves in any direction and works best on hard surface floors. Thinking of getting a second one to maybe set up a little robot obstacle racecourse. The battery provides power long enough to keep the fun going for several minutes, I think the advertised time of 120 minutes might be met if demo mode and the sound is not continuously used. Also, the battery is easy to recharge but can take a while to fully recharge it.Considering the price being asked for this cute little robot, I feel this is a great deal for all the functionality and entertainment that it provides.

This remote controlled robot is absolutely adorable and lots and lots and lots of fun for younger children. It is designed for indoor use and it easily negotiates moving from hardwood flooring, across area rugs and even on my low pile carpet in my living room.It's small, moves rather slowly, which is perfect for my 3yo grandson. He quickly figured out the remote control and after showing him the 'demo' version of capabilities, he's off and running. The smile on his face indicates he is completely captivated by the robot as it maneuvers around the house.The plastic body of the robot gives every indication of 'safe for kids'. It lacks any sharp edges, there's noting that can be removed and swallowed and the robot is pretty durable. The arms and 'ears' are position-able by hand and enhance the overall look.The remote control, operated with 2xAA battereies (not supplied), is simple and effective throughout the house. Fwd/back, left/right turns and it allows the eyes to be lighted and the music to be turned off/on. The head can be rotated a full 360 degrees.My grandson has had a lot of fun playing with this DoDoMagxanadu Remote Control Robot Toy for the past couple of days. The on-board battery, is rechargeable via USB cable (supplied) and lasts for a very l-o-n-g time, which is great because he can play without being interrupted while we charge the battery.The $30 price seems to fall right in line with similarly capable RC toys and the long play times (over 2 hours on a single charge) means lots of fun for small children.
