Alternative Imagination Hand Selected Premium Abalone Shell with Natural Wooden Cobra Stand

This was actually larger than I expected and the standard holes in the shell (common for all real Abalone shells) were not at all troublesome for me. I have seen other shells with which are either larger with more holes or smaller and not practical. Again, I love this purchase for it's quality and practicality.Bonus: The color of the inside of the shell is beautiful.I use charcoal disks because I buy sage in bulk as opposed to bundled sage. On my first ever use of the shell, I didn't use enough sand and didn't use the stand which came with it, which caused the charcoal disks to make the shell overheat and burn the material below the shell. Some plastic beneath the shell overheated and melted, but the shell itself was perfectly fine. I was able to clean it and it's good as new. You can't even tell plastic melted beneath it. This is definitely a very high quality item which persisted despite my mistakes.I've burned more sage in a couple different places - with enough sand to contain my charcoal disks, and I love it. It's just perfect.Note: If you don't use charcoal disks, then there is basically no chance of the shell overheating. I use charcoal disks for convenience because my sage and herbs come in bulk without bundling. If you use charcoal disks, then I hope you've read enough about their use to buy sand to contain the massive heat they generate.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my brother-in-law. He loves the beach. It's smaller than expected. In the ad photo with a hand it looks larger than it is. But it's still really beautiful and the stand is well-made. I would buy it again.

Ordered the shell and stand x2 and both arrived well packaged and cute as can be!! One stand is the dark color (reddish actually) and the other is the natural color. I like them both and both are constructed well. One shell was bigger than the other for some reason but they both are very pretty! Using both as earring dishes and couldn’t be happier!

I have been a bit disappointed recently with various items that I’ve have ordered. I almost didn’t order this shell because I figured it would never be as beautiful as the photo, but I must say, I was exceedingly happy when I opened this today! It is absolutely gorgeous! Love it it's beautiful

Looks exactly as pictured - beautiful and sizing dimensions were accurate. The uncolored cobra legs were beautiful and I prefer them over the stained ones. It also came well packaged and shell arrived in tact, surrounded by paper and also covered by plastic. Impressive and would totally purchase again. I didn't notice any weird smells at all.
