Burner won't stay lit
This burner, as is, will not stay lit in a fashion suitable for forging. I would caution against buying it unless you're willing to make modifications to it to get it to work. The tip is wrong for the application.I will add that it works quite well when attached to a naturally aspirated ribbon burner that I've specifically built for unpressurized airflows. But, the air control valve doesn't seem to do much on its own.

Good design, poor materials
Burned out after a dozen ingots. Designed well but it just crumbles at the end flare. I will note I did get it further in the heat zone than intended. The brass shut off valve that screws in also snapped off without any shock to it after about five or six dozen aluminum ingots. My ingot molds are 2 x 4 x 1 inch.

Doesn't stay lit. No customer support.
I'm not claiming to be an experienced user of burners like this but the product videos all show burners staying lit--which is what they're supposed to do. It's all great if the product works the way it does in the video. The one I'm trying out for the first time today doesn't. It blows itself out. I have been trying all sorts of combinations--high pressure, low pressure, lots of air, less air. But the thing will not stay lit. Other similar products have instructional/troubleshooting videos which have been helpful, but so far no luck. I'll try for a bit more before packaging it back up to return.

Won't stay lit
When I first opened the package I thought this forge burner looked like it was pretty good quality. Unfortunately like several other reviewers have pointed out, it just refuses to stay lit. I tried all the combinations I could think of and nothing works. Another problem is that the burners for my blacksmith forge go in from the top pointing down. If I mount this one in that manner the heat comes up around the valve and it gets very hot, enough that it would probably melt the rubber hose and cause a fire. In my opinion it would be dangerous to use unless mounted to fire up or sideways. I hate to give a bad review but I just can't recommend this product, partly because it doesn't work properly, and also because it could be dangerous to use if mounted to fire downward.
