I picked up two of these to use with my sawmill to roll logs up onto the log deck. Worked great. With minimal effort, we rolled a 9' wet maple log that was close to 36" in diameter up a pair of 4x4s. I attached 5/16" wire rope. The only problem was I put 40' of cable, which was too much, the spool barely held it. That was on me, though. Good product, heavy duty and easy to operate with the 2 speeds.

This much more robust winch installed right in place of the original, greatly. I used to struggle winching my boat up those last few inches, sometimes, unsuccessfully. This heavy duty winch works perfectly, making it easy for an old guy like me (and young folks too!) to safely load a boat on the trailer without spending a ton of money. Great quality, fit and value!

The slower rate of winch allow easy loading of 17.5 boat with 115 hp motor without tiring arms or taxing body. Hook on strap is larger than my original strap--experience a little binding of winch hook and lock hook rope. Glad to have such a strong and quality appearing winch on my trailer.

Replaced a DL1800. It works fine but this one is not as heavily built as the one it replaced. I guess it's just the changer over time. My old one was built in 1998 or so.

Strong well made. If you need parts you can get them. Not made in China use it once it breaks and you throw it away.

I have a 36 foot boat with twin engines, and this winch handles it just fine. It's been installed for several months, and I have had zero problems, there doesn't appear to be any rust, and replacing the old one really improved the looks of the boat trailer. Very nice unit.

Very well made. I like having the lower gear to pull the boat tight to the front trailer stop.
