Solid versatile tool for all photographers and videographers
The UTEBIT Articulating Friction Magic Arm with Cold Shoe is such a handy addition to my camera gear. It’s surprisingly versatile, thanks to the combination of a 9” magic arm and a super clamp with 1/4” and 3/8” threads. Whether I’m mounting an LED light, camera, or monitor, it handles it all with ease and really ups my game for photos and videos. The super clamp opens wide enough (up to 47mm) to attach securely to almost anything – light stands, tripods, tables, even pipes and shelves. It’s strong and doesn’t budge once it’s tightened, which is perfect for peace of mind during shoots. The 9” arm itself is awesome for getting just the right angle, with a 360° swivel head that makes positioning effortless. Adjustments are a breeze too; the wingnut loosens all joints at once, so changing setups is quick and easy. What really seals the deal for me is the build quality. Made from aluminum alloy, both the arm and clamp feel durable and reliable, with rubber cushions to prevent scratches and keep things locked in place. Plus, with a 2kg weight capacity, I don’t have to worry about it supporting my gear. If you’re looking for a flexible, reliable mount to add to your camera setup, this magic arm is a solid pick

Sturdy and versatile
This is the first friction arm I've bought - it won't be the last!I needed something to attach my 5.5" monitor to my Gimbal, or to my tripod, as needed, this 'Magic Arm' looked as if it might fit the bill, without spending too much money.Without too much ado, I'll say it does that job perfectly - the 0.25" screws at both ends permitted my angling the monitor how I wished. I did discover the "magic" bit is when the 'wingnut' at the centre is tightened, everything tightens! (First-time user, remember!)Of course, it didn't stop at the monitor - using the cold shoe I was able to mount my little camera light centrally on my ZV-E10 camera (the shoe is at one side of the camera) as well as beside my macro lens as a fill light - I'll play around a little more soon - and maybe get a longer one to compliment it.Yes, it works, yes, I consider I have value from the purchase, and yes again, I can recommend it without reservation. As an aside: it is quite heavy - the clamp is too, so should give good service.

Not strong
The arm at full extension couldn't take the weight of an action camera and would slowly move down due to gravity.

Great value, long length, light duty arm.
Great value light duty articulating arm. For its size this arm is great for all sorts of jobs. Bear in mind this is not a Manfrotto or Arri beast, those can take many KG loads and are far more heavier…. So don’t expect anything of that kind of load baring. For light duty clamping this is perfect and the long arm length is great, which is why I purchased it. For the money you cannot knock it!

Cannot easily handle weight above 2Kg
Although well built and functional, there is no way this can hold anywhere near the quoted maximum load without very carefully balancing the arms close in to the mounting point and centre of gravity and thus losing the desired flexibility of positioning, which is why people buy these things. In some cases it will not even support a lightweight flash if the arms are extended beyond a few inches from the accessory centre of gravity. In short, it's just too small to take a typical camera accessory load. However, it will let you position a lightweight load such as a small light with reasonable flexibility. Lightweight is the only thing it truly scores on.

Perfect Magic arm for in car footage
I bought this to mount my pocket 3 to my headrest to get in car footage. Mounts well and is sturdy enough. The build quality is good too. The only complain I have is that it needs to be locked on pretty tightly. The flexibility it offers is also amazing.
