Dear Seller … I love you shampoo, and I am switching to it from all the previous shampoo brands that I have ever tried. So, if I love it so much, why am I giving it only FOUR stars? It’s because of the smell …just that … BUT I have found an easy way to make your shampoo actually smell good, while keeping it 100% effective. I simply stir in a few drops of any essential oil that has a woody or herbal fragrance. My favorite essential oil to use, in correcting the smell, is rosemary essential oil — because /a/ rosemary’s herbal/forest-like fragrance combines very harmoniously with the existing aroma of Clark’s, and /b/ rosemary essential oil it itself beneficial to the hair in many ways. Clarks Shampoo really beat my dandruff, even before. Started putting in rosemary essential oil … but I HAD to put it in, I HAD to do s9methung about the smell, because I don’t want to go around all day with my hair smelling like a construction site, Adding rosemary essential oil (to the already effective Clark’s Shampoo) worked for me: so that this campo can SMELL as beautiful as its results! So I hope that your company can please, l,ease try adding some rosemary essential oil to the Clark’s Shampoo formula, then, I would not have to mix shampoo and oil by myself at home. I recommend that you might want to try different amounts of rosemary essential oil (and/or maybe different other essential oils) to find out what among/type of added esstial oils works best and smells best for the many customers who don’t like the existing aroma of Clark’s. Please?

Best Dandruff Shampoo Ever
I have used all of the most popular dandruff shampoos there is and never got any results. This is the first one that is effective and amazing! I’ve only used it for a few weeks now and I’ve seen significant improvement! My scalp is way less itchy and the redness is almost completely gone. By far the best shampoo for dandruff you can buy! In my experience it’s super effective and I will be continuing to use it. The smell isn’t the best but it’s not that bad!! Highly highly recommend!! I almost lost hope for my severe dandruff but this helped so much!!

Does not stink as much as some say and provides great results
This formula has more (50%) sulfur and more (50%) salicylic acid with about the same coal tar as the bottle (another brand) I bought as a dog shampoo at a national chain store. Size is 8oz vs 16 oz. I like the Clark's as it is stronger, more concentrated and maybe, just maybe not as stinky. I use it on my (growing) bald spot and on my dogs with their rashes. This is not a perfumed smell good product - it smells medicinal and it is just that. Coal tar and sulfur have distinctive aromas - strong ones at that. Give it a try - the combination of active ingredients has been proven in use for many (underscored) years. I think it is safe to use except in California - there it causes cancer, according to the label. I don't live in California so I get to use it and enjoy the wonderful benefits.

Sensitive skin here, I was allergic.
The smell (that people are often complaining about) wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be. I saw someone describe it as a tire factory, and that's pretty accurate, but it's not overwhelming. The issue for me is that I'm allergic to the formula. The first wash left my scalp swollen and tender to the touch, and it took a few days to go away. I spot treated after that, and the area burned and was sensitive so I just put this product down for good.It might work, but I didn't really get the chance to find out because I'm allergic to it and it was causing more problems than it solved.

Terrible smell, didn't get around to it because of that. Better options out there.
As the title says, you can find better options that don't smell this terrible. I also did not use the product, but at the same time I've used previous coal tar shampoos, and they have a tendency to smell quite bad, so I thought I'd be fine when I read the reviews. This one truly was the worst I had ever smelled without even using it. I decided to not move forward and return it. The one that I recommend you using that has been amazing for me and also makes my hair look wonderful is MG217 Dandruf Therapeutic shampoo. You can thank me later...or never. I just want you to find relief the way I did. God bless.

Best Dandruff Shampoo I've Ever Tried - Super Effective
I've tried countless different dandruff shampoos over 30+ years. Some are moderately effective, but most are just lousy at controlling dandruff.Clark's Full Spectrum Dandruff Shampoo is the real deal; it not only controls dandruff flakes, it also reduces itching and scalp inflammation. This product is one of the few things I've purchased recently that actually exceeded expectations. While Clark's doesn't smell good, it doesn't smell bad. I've used coal tar dandruff shampoos for years that smell far worse and produce lesser results. Given how effective Clark's is, I can accept the fact it doesn't smell like mint, or cedar, or some other synthetically produced perfume.
