This was a great purchase: easy to install and use; secure holding even on bumpy roads; and easily visible due to the tilt/swirlI was skeptical about the hook but the phone mount/holder was very easy to install. I used the clip (so I've no comment on the suction), which worked beautifully. The simple designs fits my (and any) air vents and the adjustable holder is flexible enough where I can adjust for best viewing without risk of taking my eyes off the road. Another plus is it doesn't hinder my access to the buttons or ports on my phone.The spring on my previous phone holder had become loose and would no longer securely hold my phone in place. I am confident this one will fare better as the design is more form-fitting. Time will tell.The only thing that can be improved upon is the instructions: I was concerned about breaking it when connecting the ball on the back of the phone holder. You do have to exert some force to insert it.

I'm in the US, and my state recently passed a hands-free law, so I ordered this. I don't like the suction cup holders, so I went for the vent mount. It works great! Set-up is quite simple but not necessarily intuitive, so take a quick look at the set up instructions and you'll be good. The tightness on the vent mount is adjustable, so you can get a good solid mount with no rattling (I have this in an '07 and the car doesn't need any more rattles). I definitely have a thick phone case, and this mount holds it no problem, as advertised. I'm very pleased with this product, would definitely recommend.
