I expected a mediocre product that needed frequent sharpening, and have been pleasantly surprised to learn what a true value this knife is. I own many higher end edged weapons and kitchen cutting utensils, including knives from Germany's Wusthof family brand. This knife is perfectly balanced, flawlessly sharp, and polished to the point I can see my face in the blade. I can slice any vegetable thin enough to see through it, and can cut meat paper thin without needing a meat slicer. It is a very safe knife due to not needing much pressure to cut any food. Dull kitchen knives require heavy pushing, resulting in frequent injury to users. I will definitely be buying more.

We never knew what a good knife was until we opened the box. Not only is it a very attractive knife (wooden handle, full bolster,beautiful colored brass), but it arrived sharp and has held it's edge thus far. It is very well balanced in the hand. Came quickly and wonderfully packed. Great customer service!

the knife is sharp but the wooden handle cracked in 3 places within the first 2 months. This is without dishwashers or soaking in water. We washed it with care by hand and dried it quickly. Can't believe they would sell such a cheap product.
