I am a huge fan of crystal anything so when I saw these, I knew I had to have them. I have a gorgeous set of Mikasa crystal glasses that I bought ages ago. I started thinking about how silly it was not to use them so recently, I decided to indulge. It was such a treat until the dreaded moment when I put them in the basin for hand-washing and nicked the edge of one and chipped a rather large triangle out of it. I was heartbroken because the pattern is discontinued, replacements aren’t readily available and each cost about $100. Needless to say, they are tucked away again because I can’t take the heartbreak of losing another.But I like drinking from a beautiful glass so when I found these glasses by Kanars, I was sold. Kanars has done a lovely job of creating beautiful patterns of brilliant glass. They have a nice assortment of products/patterns to choose from and their pricing is outstanding. I would be sorely disappointed if I broke one but not heartbroken because replacing them is not cost-prohibitive.There are a few things I especially like about this product. The glasses are beautiful. The design is simple but elegant and the heartiness of the glass feels good in your hand. I would worry less about breaking one of these because they can withstand a dishwasher. Since there is no thinning around the rim of the glass, this (in my opinion) makes them more durable and less worrisome to use for special occasions or every day use. Drinks always look & taste better in a beautiful glass and these are lead-free too!The glasses are packaged for transport and more importantly, gift-giving. The box is sturdy and the glasses are well protected. They would make a lovely gift for any occasion.

Was sent an opened set, can’t tell if they’ve been used but they are dirty.. disgusting.
