perfect for blocking granny squares
It is the perfect size and very sturdy. fits on my desk without taking up a ton of space and you can stack your granny squares on the blocking board also. I will be using this for all of my granny square afghans in the future!

Perfect!
My husband is so happy he didn't have to build me one! And the $$ was reasonable.

Stand doesn't hold board
The blocking board itself is fine. But it is too heavy for the base. It falls over- it won't stay upright.

It works!
I bought this item for my friend of 30 years who recently moved closer to me. After she finished unpacking, she realized that she hadn't found her own blocking board. She used this board straightaway to block a large number of granny squares. She only mentioned that she needed to leave a tiny bit of space between each square because the ones closest to the board were taking longer to dry.

Straightforward to use
You simply lay out your project and pin it as desired, then use a mist spray bottle to get the material all damp so it can dry in the correct form. I use this for my crochet pieces. It's nice to have something to use now that isn't a piece of cardboard, and I don't have to worry about it getting wet.

Nice blocking board with stand
This is my first experience with a crochet blocking board. I learned to crochet yeats ago, but only recently learned that a blocking board can be used to help keep granny squares more uniform in size. You can mist or spray them with water for 100% cotton, then air dry overnight. The fibers then dry at that size. The metal posts which fit into this blocking board are tall enough for me to fit several squares on them at once. Currently, I have 3 squares stacked, but could fit 5 with good air circulation around them. I'm not sure if stacking is the intended use or if you're supposed to keep everything flat, but it seems to work for me.My sunflower squares are 5 inches by 5 inches. The board is about 8.25" x 8.25" square, with 14x14 holes drilled 1/2 inch apart. The pins are 5 7/8" long. It's easy to put the pins in the board and through the crochet openings.I think the board size is just right for limited storage space. It's pretty compact.
