I was able to use the tag holder plate, but I had to completely redesign the mounting bracket: plate was too wide to attach to the axle, hole oversized and cracked under the torque of the axle nut (ended up cutting the mounting bracket in half and using a plate of steel to connect to the axle), tag light had no seal to protect from road grit and water.

Overall it looks good and is pretty stout for how light the material is. At first glance it didn’t look like the holes were going to line up but once you start tightening the bolts they’ll line up at all 3. The led is bright enough for your plate without being so bright as to cause a distraction in traffic. I do think that for the price this product could have some better materials. I had to grind the side of the plate mount a little to fit my bike and with very little heat the paint started to bubble so that’s something that could use some work there. Not sure how long the paint will ward off corrosion but overall it’s a great product, just expensive for what you get. It was pretty easy to get mounted on my current project just needed some adaptation as it is universal. Does what you’d expect it to, holds a plate firmly and illuminates it, mount doesn’t wobble or anything when tightened down so no annoying rattling noises or anything like that. You’ll need a 2.5mm Allen wrench and a 7mm wrench for the hardware as well as an existing bolt on your bike to mount it to as the product doesn’t come with any through bolt for the mounting arm.

The pieces are solid and heavy. It feels sturdy. It is a 2 piece assembly held together with bolts, so you you better tighten them well and use Loctite. Simple install with no issue. Really cleans up the look of the bike. I just really wish it was as single piece instead of 2.
