Leviton Countdown Timer Switch for bathroom fan and household lights, 10-20-30-60 min, No Neutral Required, Single Pole, 15A, 1/2HP/9.8A Fan/Motor, DT160-1LW, White

Bought this to replace a Woods timer switch that ceased to function. Wiring it up was pretty easy, the wires are labeled on the casing which is nice. The white color was consistent and the face fit the wall plate perfectly. It is easy to operate and offers fan operation from 10 to 60 minutes. I like the single press choice over the multi-press select button of the Woods version. Went with this Leviton because the Woods failed sooner than I had expected, it's only been installed maybe three or four years. So I decided to go with a brand I feel has a more proven track record.

Easy install. Great for a house full of kids who never turn off the bath fan, as it’s a push button to set it and forget it. Works well. Sounds like a strong make and break. I bought more than on for each bathroom, but found it great for the garage lights also. The switch has a bit of depth to it, so it works better in a multi-gang or deep box, otherwise things get a bit tight, but it’s also expected with switches like these. Will purchase again.

Works great as expected from Leviton. Only downside is that the fit/finish on the buttons is a bit low. Every time it is pressed, the pressed button will end up uneven, deeper on the left or on the right. Those with any level of OCD will end up spending inordinate amounts of time adjusting the buttons so they all sit even and pointed straight forward. I really wish Leviton had sprung for two springs on each button, to push both sides back out after being pressed! Other than that issue, this is a good unit, and fits well with other "decora" / "paddle" type switches in the 3-gang box. The white matches the basic whites from other manufactures (ours is sitting next to two Lutron switches), although other color options may not be so lucky. It turns our bathroom exhaust fan on, and stays on for however long the button you press is. I haven't timed it with a stopwatch, but the timing appears to be very accurate just from glancing at my clock when pressed and when it turns back off. Note that in addition to the four time intervals (10, 20, 30, and 60 minutes), a long-press of the 60-minutes button will keep the fan on indefinitely. As time elapses, the button corresponding to the "time left" lights up (ex, if you start at 60 minutes, then 30 minutes later the "30" button will light up and the "60" light will turn off, like you'd just then pressed the 30 minute button; 10 more minutes and the light moves to the 20-minute button, etc). When less than a minute is left on it, the "10 minute" button's light starts blinking. Also, if you press any button while the fan is on, the timer is reset. For instance, if you hit "30 minutes", wait 5 minutes, and hit "30 minutes" again, it will stay on for a total of 35 minutes (30 minutes since the last time the 30 button was pressed).

I’ve installed three Leviton countdown timers — DT104-1LW, DT115-1LW, and DT160-LW — and all work flawlessly even though my gang boxes have no neutral wire. The DT104-1LW (30 min, 1 hr, 2 hr, 4 hr) runs my BFQ90 CFM exhaust fan, the DT115-1LW (2, 5, 10, 15 min) is perfect for bathroom fans, and the DT160-LW (5, 10, 20, 30 min) handles lights and small heaters. Easy to install, dependable, and they look great on the wall. Highly recommended for anyone upgrading from old mechanical timers!

This count down timer switch was easy to install and works perfectly. Our wiring has the neutral wire available at the switch box so that made the installation very easy. You will need wire nuts and a cover plate which are not included in the box but otherwise it’s a well designed switch with very clear instructions. Highly recommend.

It does exactly what I want it to do: not have to worry about leaving a light on in my entryway when I leave for work on dark mornings. The wire leads (pigtails) built in to the switch make wiring it easy, versus trying to maneuver the existing wires in the switch box to connect into it.

The Leviton Countdown Timer Switch (10‑20‑30‑60 min) was incredibly easy to install. Everything was straightforward, and it fit nicely in my existing switch box. It works exactly as described, counts down accurately, and is perfect for controlling lights or appliances without leaving them on all the time. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a simple, reliable timer switch.

Our previous Leviton timer lasted about 14 years before it started buzzing and stopped operating our fan. We were initially hesitant to stick with the same brand, but after doing some research we learned that the older model had been discontinued due to the exact issue we experienced. This newer version was released specifically to address those problems. Installation was quick and straightforward, and the timer has been working perfectly so far. While it’s too early to speak to long-term longevity, we expect good performance given that Leviton corrected the earlier design issues and backs this product with a 5-year warranty. If anything changes, we’ll update this review.

Got 3 DT104 and 1 DT204, all for bathroom fans to ensure more time, up to 4 hours ( DTx04), to vent shower humidity. Wired all using option 2a as if neutral not present in box. So joining green and white together to ground. Actually using the neutral (2b) didn't work, fan timer never turned off. Easy to install. On inital power up takes 5-8 seconds to setup (might be on) then switches to default off mode. Note why you might want a DT204. Model 'DT1xx' means simple on/off timer switch. DT2xx means a 3-way switch (controlled by either of 2 switches). Where I live, at least one upstares bathroom fan MUST have a 3-way switch controlled downstairs to vent smoke (kitchen/fireplace). So I needed one DT204 also for that one bathroom. Was also simple. It is still a deep switch to fit in the box, but not as deep any many.
