I purchased the Amazon Basics Foldable Metal Exercise Pet Playpen after our German Shepherd had a litter of 11 puppies, and it has been an absolute lifesaver! Great size and easy to fold up and store away. Very sturdy when on flat ground and the weight is not too much that my daughter cannot handle. We only use for rabbits and baby chicks. I would not recommend for large dogs.

I purchased a Used-like new item and it was exactly as described. No issues as far as quality control. The price is very reasonable compared to the same item at larger chain stores. And of course , the versatility of this is unmatched. I have this set up every night for my nine week old puppy to sleep in with an elevated bed inside. I generally crate train my dogs right from the beginning for bed time but am switching tactics to train to sleep in "their bed" instead of starting in an enclosed crate and working to an open door crate. My puppy is calmer when enclosed in this playpen then he was in his 48 inch crate. My other dog has an open crate with her comfy bed she sleeps in. I have also used this attached to a 36inch double door crate to put both my 2 yr old red nose pit and 9 wk old rottie in while I was running errands. Lastly this has also been used as a travel playpen at a family reunion (will update pics of that later). This has most definitely proved it's worth in each instance. I do not think this could be collapsed WITH extra reinforcements in each of these scenarios. When used with the elevated bed I have zip ties added on the sides where the feet for the elevated bed are. So the playpen is secured to the bed at the very bottom. This keeps the playpen from being able to be moved/caved in/etc while set up like this. When attached to the 36inch crate I have zip ties on 4 points where the crate and playpen connect to eachother. I also have the metal clips on there too but it seemed sturdier with the zip ties. The plastic clips that come with it for the top in my opinion are useless on their own. Hence the 4 instead of 5 stars. They constantly pop off at the slightest movement and become a hazard to the dog inside. Especially a teething puppy. To remedy this I also have these zip tied to the top. When used outside as a travel playpen I make sure it is strategically staked to the ground and the included metal clips to attach this to a crate becomes a back up door closure as well. Judging from some of the reviews I believe a bunch of people expected this to be like the heavy plastic kid play yards and were not expecting to take a few extra steps to think about how to reinforce it... take the extra time and make sure it is secure to make sure your dog is safe. Is it a portable tall thin enclosure. Of course on its own it is a bit flimsy. When used responsibly it is a great product and very simple to use. I am glad I bought this for sure. I am planning on buying another one so I can take both of my dogs on our last vacation of the summer and let them have some room to play without being on leads. It is not too heavy considering it's metal...and looks decent. Yes it's a bit bulky when set up. But it's fine..lol...for reference I bought the 59x48. Or 48x48x48. I don't believe in starting small and buying bigger as the dog gets bigger. They start out with ginormous stuff and grow into it so they know from the beginning it's theirs.

Love this easy set up, easy to clean and store away. Perfect height for my bulldog puppy, large enough space to place her and her cage in the enclosure, leaving a comfortable amount of room still. Sturdy as she climbs all over it, looks clean and good in the home. Very light weight, worth every penny spent!

I was quite surprised when I received the play pen it was already put together and very sturdy. You have a number of options as to shape, indoor or outdoor and the size. For the price you can’t t beat it. When I asked friends how much they thought I paid and the came up with a figure at 3x what it cost. Really happy and I recommend this play pen for sure.

Excellent quality crate!! Even useful with a very large Labrador hound mix. 10/10 would buy it again

It’s pretty flimsy, there should be enough clamps to do the top and the bottom , other wise it just wants to keep folding where other clamps should be. Other wise it’s a great item, I want to get pack of the accessories and I can’t ask the seller a question and customer service doesn’t even offer that as a option for a question.
