Works flawlessly

This is an excellent umbrella that I've ever seen. My wife's favorite umbrella broke several months ago and despite trying to get her a new pink umbrella, she didn't like the one I got her, complaining it was too heavy (1.15lbs) and having to manually open and close. I searched through a lot of online articles and listings for umbrellas and came across this one from Knirps. Knirps is not a brand that we are familiar with, but it's a well known brand in Europe. On Amazon there's currently only 5 color/design choices for the T200 model, but on the Knirps website, you have 59 color/design options (but sadly no pink for the wife).I got the red umbrella for my wife and she's been using it the past two days as it's been raining where we live. The umbrella is so much lighter in weight than my Costco umbrella. Yes, mine also has the button to auto open and close, 8 ribs, but it's weighted and slower than the Knirps umbrella. It's very easy and effortless to press the button and whooshes open about a second faster than my Costco umbrella. The sleeve is nice, has a zipper so you don’t get frustrated when trying to stuff it back into the sleeve.I tried looking for these measurements when making a purchase but no one mentioned it. I'll include it here in case anyone else is looking for this info too:Canopy Arch: 42 inchesDiameter: 38 inchesExtended height: 22.5 inchesCollapsed height: 11 inchesWeight: 0.7lbsThis umbrella has its own side pocket in my wife's backpack and the heavy pink one will be her spare and stays in the car. This umbrella is about 4 inches smaller than my Costco one, but it works well for my smaller wife.One thing I wanted to note that no one mentioned is this Knirps umbrella is made in Austria where as all of the other umbrellas I've seen and used are made in China. Knirps is a quality umbrella and you can feel it from how lightweight and functions better as compared to other more affordable umbrellas, but you have to determine if it is worth it for you.We know this will be my wife's companion for quite some time, I will come back and edit this review if otherwise. Hopefully by the time we replace this umbrella for her, they will have a pink color one then.

Easy to use and very compact.

I love the look of this umbrella, the ease of deploying it, and the convenient cover it came with as well. However, based on reviews and reputation of the company, I think I was underwhelmed? It’s about average size for this type of umbrella, so not super compact for travel, but that was okay by me because I liked the auto feature. What I think was disappointing though was how very easily it blew inside out. I was in London for a week and used it daily; it wasn’t particularly windy, just seemed average with the occasional gust of wind. It folded inside out regularly, which made me question why I didn’t just get a manual fold and go for a more compact size if it was going to do that anyway. It didn’t break, so that was a plus!

Eigentlich wollte ich für einen Regenschirm nie viel Geld ausgeben. Bis ich dann mir doch mal diesen Knirps angeschaut hatte. Die Handhabung ist super einfach. Einfach auf den Knopf drücken und der Schirm öffnet sich komplett und ohne Gefummel, also ohne Stress. Der Schirm macht einen stabilen Eindruck, auch wenn ich ihn noch nicht bei Sturm getestet habe. Kein Vergleich zu meinen bisherigen Billigschirmen.Da es das "alte" Modell ist (nur halt ein altes Stoffmuster), und damit viel günstiger war, habe ich mir noch einen zweiten Schirm für das Auto mit anderem Muster aus der Vorjahreskollektion gegönnt.
