Works great I’ve been using it for the last year and I used the plug-in play option through my cigarette lighter outlet and it works phenomenally.It’s not even much in my way using that option so I like the ease of installing. The recording is phenomenal, easy playback through the app.If something happens on the road within two minutes, I’m able to pull up on my phone and have it downloaded to my phone- no need to pull out the SIM card. Night vision is great and the clarity is outstanding. Very happy with my purchase and would purchase again and I highly recommend.I purchased other brands high priced 3 channel dash cams and they don’t stand the test of time and can just stop working all of a sudden suddenly. Not this one! Will but again!!

Super easy to setup and really clear video. The G sensor is very sensitive and potholes can set it off but this can be adjusted in the settings. The power cord was plenty long enough for my Chevy 1500 to hide under the trim and run under the dash to the aux cigarette lighter which has constant power. No need for the hard wire kit. Living in the south with the summer heat caused the adhesive to let go on the second day allowing the cam to fall. Had to purchase some high strength, high temp tape to hold it up.

I’m very disappointed with this dash cam, especially considering the high price tag. One of the biggest issues is the app—it only works within about 2 meters of the device. There is no cloud storage, no remote access, and no way to view or manage footage unless you’re physically next to the camera. That makes the mobile app nearly useless.Think about real-life scenarios:• If a robbery occurs and the dash cam is stolen, all data is gone—no backup, no recovery.• If you’re in an accident and the memory card is damaged or the camera destroyed, there’s no way to retrieve critical footage.At this price point (around $400), these are major shortcomings. Many far less expensive dash cams—some under $100—offer cloud backups and true app connectivity. For this model to miss such essential features is unacceptable. The product feels overpriced and overhyped for what it delivers.Using images and marketing that imply full app functionality and connectivity is misleading. This dash cam doesn’t deliver on what’s promised. Honestly, it should be priced under $100 given its limitations.

What can I say about the Vantrue N5 4 channel dashcam besides "It's Awesome". The quality of the 4 cameras is great during the day. And blew me out of the water at night. I am not a ride share driver. But I do assist families with rides at times. This not only protects them, but me as well from any potential liability. The location of the cameras does offer true 360 recording front to back and side to side. I added the recommended 256GB memory card and will have my husband install the hardwire kit (for sentinel/parking mode) in the coming weeks. While I have not had to use the videos for personal protection as of yet, the dashcam has recorded several accidents since being installed December of 2023. Through the heat of summer to the cold of winter, the Vantrue N5 has operated flawlessly. The included adhesive mounts are still holding strong which has surprised me due to the intense heat that accumulates in the summer months. I have recommended this dashcam to friends, family, co-workers, and police officers who have reviewed the footage during witnessed accident investigations. I will be buying additional Vantrue cameras for our other vehicles and my husband has already installed the N5 into friends vehicles as well.

Update:———————-So, I previously rated this a 1 ⭐️ because it wouldn’t turn on after plugging in. I thought I got a bad dashcam, but turns out I now have a faulty car lighter port. It no longer charges devices.However, Once I plugged the dashcam into the extra car charging slot I have it, it turned on within a few seconds. Make sure the green light is on at the plug. That’s a sure way to tell if you are feeding a current.So far it’s awesome. Lives up to the hype. You do need a SD card before you can start recording, which is kind of annoying but other than that it seems perfectly fine and still a great deal.My back camera was a bit stiff on rotating. I was scared I was gonna break it, even tho they have lines that line up for you to see how far it can rotate.I give 4 stars because the adhesive stickers they gave you fell off, for the back camera. Not the front though. Which is weird cuz the back camera is much lighter. Other than that no issues. Will update again once I get an SD card.—————————————————————It just arrived.So far it hasn’t turned on even after being plugged in for a bit.Will keep it plugged in and hopefully it charges and starts working after a long charge otherwise this is a bust.Super bummed if this doesn’t work. So many good reviews online now make me think they’re bots and this is a piece of junk.Will update by this week but as of now. Not worth the headache. I don’t recommend.
