Works Well and helps keep the user safe!
I have a few areas of my home with very tall ceilings. Always a pistol to replace light bulbs when they go out, even though I have a good ladder to get up high it is still a challenge to stay safe and keep your balance. As I've gotten older I not only don't have the balance I used to, a good friend also recently lost her partner to a ladder mishap. I saw a similar item to this Dreyoo bulb changer; however, it was quite expensive. I poked around Amazon, saw the Dreyoo, and felt I'd give it a chance, especially for the price. Glad I did. I rummaged around for an expandable pole to put this on and found one that expanded to 12' for dusting, etc. Dreyoo had indicated this was a 'standard' thread pole and they were correct. It fit right on. I slammed down the thumb screw to keep it on and, after reading the instructions, used the nice little white cloth cover to clean the old bulb by just soaking it in water and putting it over the suction cup. Up the ladder I went, but only part way instead of all the way up, then I extended the pole and wiped off the old bulb, as instructed to allow for the best suction. I came down with the pole, took off the cover, then backup part way on the ladder where I could keep balance easier. I pushed the suction cup onto the bulb and could tell it was on tight. I twisted the pole and, after a little effort, the bulb came right out. Putting the new bulb in was the reverse; however, I recommend making sure that the bulb is suctioned on straight to ensure it is easy to screw in. I snugged it, pulled the string to release suction, came down and it tested fine. Much less stressful than climbing higher and twisting around to get a bulb in and out while balancing. I was so happy, I tried it on several 'lower' bulbs in the house and will now not even need a latter to get to the bulbs on my 15' ceilings. I might even purchase a longer extension pole so I never have to use a ladder, again, even on the higher spots. Cheap at twice the price for a little possible life saver. Recommended for safety and peace of mind, AND it works! PS: Remember to keep the little plastic wraparound piece they have the release string rolled on, as it will prevent your release string from getting all discombubulated!

Worked very well on flat spotlight
Attached to a 12ft pole we had for paint rollers and easily replaced a spotlight bulb at the top of our two story entry. Also used it to replace a standard bulb. It worked ok for that but didn’t grip the round bulb as well as the flat spotlight bulb. Definitely recommend…esp for the price.

Useful Tool, but Learning Curve for First-Time Use
The Dreyoo Light Bulb Changer is a helpful tool for changing light bulbs in high ceilings and recessed fixtures. The suction cup provides a secure grip on the bulb, and the design is practical for reaching those tricky spots without needing a ladder. That said, I found it a bit confusing to use at first, but I suspect this was more of a "me" problem than an issue with the product itself. Once I got the hang of it, the tool worked as intended, making the process safer.

Great item for difficult to reach light bulbs.
Great item—absolutely necessary for changing my high angled light bulb. Fit onto standard broom/mop screw tip staff to improve reach. Got it in a couple days which helped me a ton. I was initially worried about size but it works well for small bulbs and large bulbs. Release tab with string works well.

It does work
This does work, even on bulbs that have been in the socket for years. It fits a standard painter's pole threaded end. It looks like it couldn't work, but it does. Suction is not strong enough so bulb couldn't fall out if turned sideways, but if you raise and lower it vertical and carefully, it stays on well enough.

Works, but not failproof
This tool works, but it was not easy to get it to work. You had to get the angle pretty perfect in order to get the suction cup to engage solidly. The pull tab also doesn't reset on its own so it takes a bit of fiddling after each us to make sure it isn't getting in the way of a good seal. We took 7 bulbs down from our ceiling and the suction failed on 4 of them. It did go onto the extender pole easily enough. I was expecting the suction cup to be a little bigger. We bought it for taking down bigger bulbs out of our can lights.

Worked great!

Worked fine at first, but then...
After a month, the suction cup required a moist cleaning and drying to be able to suck onto the light bulb. Then after seven weeks, the cup does NOT suck onto the bulb at all, even after a moistening. Don't waste your time and money. My eleven year old bulb changer works better than this. Bummer!By the way, product photos do NOT match item that was shipped! Deceptive advertising. The photo shows a suction cup with no circular lines, similar to the older style cups that worked great. The product shipped has the double circular rings, just like all the competition.
