I needed to replace the firebricks in my wood burner as they had pretty much disintegrated. These were the closest I could get to the right size. I cut them down with a masonry saw to get the ideal size. It's like a light concrete brick so cutting is quite easy. I imagine cutting is possible with a hacksaw too. Burner is happy as Larry again.

This was a replacement for a brick that arrived last week damaged in the box, there was no problem with them sending out another one which arrived today in good condition. Thankfully i didn't need to return the damaged one. Thankyou - great service.

Great price in comparison to other sites I’d been searching. Ordered 3 and 1 arrived broken . Had waited a long time for arrival so didn’t want to send back. I managed to cut the size of bricks required within the broke piece so worked out ok. Price and product great, but as other reviews state - high likelihood of arriving damaged.

This review is about the packing by Amazon. I originally ordered two of these but one arrived cracked in multiple places. I requested a replacement but that has just arrived also cracked in multiple places. The reason seems to be that the packages are simply unsuitable to carry what is a brittle tile. Though the tile is wrapped in a thin bubble wrap it’s then placed in a box of significantly larger size with a miserly piece of crunched up brown paper and no fragile stickers, As such, it appears pretty obvious that any movement in transit is going to risk cracking the tile. More frustrating, though Amazon waived the return of the original tile for replacement I have now the unwanted hassle of having printing off labels, boxing up and delivering for return etc in my own time so I can get a refund. And to add insult to injury the one original tile that wasn’t broken subsequently cracked. I generally shop at Amazon for convenience, and usually this works well. However, not in this case where the whole process has not, appearing to be due to what could be perceived as a simple lack of common sense in the packing process.

Great meaty lump!! Was able to make an area the size of three of my old fire bricks. With the use of an angle grinder to cut. Excellent value for money

La pietra si presenta un po ruvida ed irregolare. Il rapporto qualita prezzo è ottimo. La uso nel mio fornetto da 30 litri dove entra perfettamente ad incastro. Prima di usarla ho fatto come consigliavano su altri siti per la stagionatura di pietre refrattarie. Con un panno umido imbevuto di acqua e sale l ho pulita. Dopo di che appena asciutta (altrimenti rischiate di spaccarla) l ho messa in forno per 1h al massimo della temperatura. La uso per cucere pizze e risultati che si ottengono sono straordinari. Io metto la pietra nella teglia di alluminio del forno (dove entra perfettamente ad incastro) e la preriscaldo nella parte piu alta del forno alla massina temperatura tendo accesa sola la resitenza superiore (il tutto x circa mezz ora). Ad ogni pizza la estraggo dal forno e ci metto su con una paletta la pasta della pizza già stesa ovviamente e senza condimento. Poi immendiatamente dopo ci aggiungo il condimento (salsa e mozzarella) e la rinforno dinuovo nella parte alta del forno. In 5 min pizza cotta e ottima. Il prodotto è ottimo per il suo rapporto qualtà prezzo, infatti su amazon tedesco ci sono tantissime recensioni positive di questa pietra. Probabilmente per forni più grandi ne servono due.

Ich schreibe ja nicht oft eine Rezension aber jetzt muss ich mal. Ich habe die ganze Zeit nach einem Pizzastein für den Hausgebrauch gesucht, der nicht so teuer ist und tut was er soll. 30€ und mehr ausgeben? Nö. Wollte ich nicht. Also dachte ich mir "was kann man bei dem Preis falsch machen" und habe diesen Stein bestellt. Er kam super verpackt an. Wer jetzt denkt, der Stein sei total glatt und auf den Millimeter genau verarbeitet, dem sei gesagt: ist er nicht. Er ist in angegebener Form, etwas spröde und ich würde ihn jetzt nicht durch die Gegend schmeißen. Sollte aber für jeden logisch sein. Die Qualität passt. Zum Gebrauch: Ich habe den Stein bei 250°C im Ofen eine Stunde anheizen lassen. Danach hab ich Dinnele (kleine rustikale Pizzen) darauf gebacken. Die waren nach nichtmals 5 Min fertig - habe aber auch recht dicken Teig. Bei dünner Pizza würde ich von noch kürzerer Backzeit ausgehen. Das Ergebnis war super, knusprig und lecker. Der Teig war von unten gut gemehlt - geklebt hat nix. Ich empfehle dazu eine kleine Pizzaschaufel zu kaufen um das zu backende Gut ohne gebackene Finger auf den Stein zu bekommen. Also: jedem der einen Pizzastein sucht würde ich das empfehlen. In meinen Ofen passen 2 davon nebeneinander, ansonsten muss man halt kleine, längliche Pizzen machen :-) ich hab mal noch ein Foto vom Backergebnis dazu gepackt, für die Zweifler!
