Works flawlessly!
Well worth the money and performs very well. I would recommend this tool to any auto technician or individual with a car that has a distributor. This timing light is very user friendly and makes the task of adjusting ignition timing seamless.

Easily set timing on a 289
Granted I have only used this once, and it was my first experience with a timing light. I must say this was extremely straight forward and easy to use.Strobe was bright enough to see my faint painted timing mark on my old balancer. I also liked how you don’t need a dedicated tach wire like the HF digital model.

Good mid-level timing-light at a good price.
Nice, well made, timing light for home repairs. Though maybe not tough enough for a professional mechanic, this timing light works great for us amateurs. I checked the timing on my vehicle using both the flywheel marks and the marks on the idler pulley in bright sunlight and the strobe on this timing light was still bright enough that I could see the mark. It seems well made and sturdy and was very easy to use. I chose the model with the built-in tachometer because I was doing the work alone. If you have help, you may just want to stick with the cheaper model and have someone tell you the revs from the tachometer on the instrument cluster. This timing-light Includes a good set of instructions as well. The only downside was the packaging. I really wish manufactures of all different kinds of products would move away from using the plastic clamshell, or at the very least away from the fused clamshell. Those things are a pain to open and the sharp plastic can easily injure you when opening it. Minor issue though. The product worked as advertised and was a good price.

Functioning perfectly and is awesome to have
This is a perfect way to time an engine. It has a great readout screen and an rpm gauge along with a set timing amount that you set manually yourself. Functions flawlessly.

Disposable junk
I had a similar but slightly different Innova timing light for years that worked flawlessly. I gave it to a friend before I moved, and bought one of these to replace it. I was only able to use it twice before it stopped flashing and reading RPM on any engine. Thinking it was a one-off occurrence, I replaced it with the same model. This one I only used three times before it stopped flashing, but still reading engine speed. Both of them were treated very gently while I had them, always staying in the drawer of a stationary tool chest while not in use, unlike my old one which knocked around in the toolbox of my truck most of the time. The other day while talking with my friend, I asked if he still had my old light. He told me that unfortunately it was stolen from his garage during a break-in. He'd replaced it with a 3568 too, but that had to be returned to the store when it failed on its very first use.It seems that either the experience with my old light was a fluke, or that Innova's quality on these lights has dropped precipitously in the last 15 years. If the product survives a few uses, and most purchasers probably have occasion to use it only once or twice per year, then what use is a 1 year warranty? The unfortunate part is that it is a decent product to use while it's working.

Very pleased
Worth every penny. Don't go cheaper!!! It could use a case of some kind to protect it and store it.
