Really great alternative to slot cars!
So weve got slot cars a plenty and my kids have become quite the expert at them. Everything from driving them well to assembling tracks and understanding how things need to meet together. However one of my kids saw a commercial for these so he had to have it. Considering the cost I couldnt say no. So let me start out with some pros/consPros:-They are magnetic and stick like glue to the track-Long battery life for the cars-Nice compact complex track for racing (takes up very little room)-Lots of funCons:-Controllers are Infrared and not RF so you have to point them at the actual cars-Controllers have a learning curve. Not sure why they went with the crank type as opposed to standard pistol type-Videos show kids cranking the controller, however only very little movement is necessary and the cars are screaming down the track-Track is time consuming to setup with lots of squeezing and pinching and some various curse words thrown in for good measure. All in all this little track is a blast and the kids love it. If you master the controller and get the track assembled correctly its fun for hours. The cars charge quickly and last a long time. The cars are also blisteringly fast. Much faster than my reaction time, however my kids have mastered it and do much better than I.

Be prepared to spend time on assemby
When you get your racetrack and cars, be prepared to not be able to use it immediately. It will take a while to put together. One of the things I like about the track is that you have multiple options for how to construct it. Do you want the death defying 360° loop or break those down to make curves? The kit comes with connectors to use to put the track together the way you want it. This aspect of the toy will allow for kids to be creative. You get two controllers and two cars, and kids will have a blast with how easy they are to control. Hours of enjoyment in this brightly colored almost translucent set. It would make a great gift for the little engineer in your life.

Missing parts
Open christmas morning and went to put it together and we are missing so many pieces we can't make the track. Kids are so disappointed.

One car and remote didn't work!
It's a great racetrack and is fun but one of the cars and remote for it didn't work. It's supposed to be a race so it's disappointing when only one car can go. I bought it for Christmas so when we discovered it didn't work the return date was past. I've tried contacting the company but haven't heard back.

Cool, retro type of track, Kids love it!
The media could not be loaded. It’s kinda of difficult to put together, but once you do the kids will love it, the cars are magnetic so they stick to the track rely good. Also you can control both cars with one controller or flip the switch on the bottom of the car and race each other, the faster u wine up the controller the faster the cars go. You also can put the track together in different configurations, very cool!

RC race track set
This is was a little bit different of a racing toy that I've seen in the past that you can actually use a remote to race the cars. Loved this because it made it so you build two separate tracks together, so you can race against one another (reminds me of the "racer" rollercoaster at kennywood). Depending on the kid, they have more fun racing than building the track to be honest. The two young ones I had over didn't really want much to do with building the track because it seemed a little too difficult for them still. I would say the price is a little higher than I'd honestly pay, but that's probably just me.

Really fun, but initial setup is a little involved
This is a really fun racetrack we got for our 5 year old. I was a little surprised by the initial track setup. The track has a total of 114 pieces. I posted a picture to give an idea of the amount of pieces. This is not a track that should be disassembled after each use. So find a semi-permanent place before you begin setup. The remotes do not come with batteries but the cars are rechargeable with an included USB cord.Once the track is assembled it is not too complicated for our 5 year old. He loves it. The faster you spin the crank on the remote, the faster the cars run the track. All the pieces are a very sturdy plastic so I feel like it will last for a while. I would recommend you do not lose the instructions because if it ever needs disassembled, you will need the instructions again. Overall this is a fun racetrack that is fun for the siblings to play together, doing different types of races. I would recommend this for purchase.
