I love Hedgren bags and have 3 different colors of the Carina bag. They have gone to Europe with me many times but I wanted to try one with a slimmer profile, something that will stay close to my body at all times. I haven't been on my trip yet, but this bag has all the organization pockets that I need. I tried putting all my essentials into the pockets and everything fits very well. I think it will be perfect for keeping passport and money safe because they will be at the bottom of the narrow main pocket. It just seems like a better profile for travel than a bag that is shorter in height but wider and is not as body hugging! This is very sleek and all materials are high quality, plus it's a gorgeous color blue. Hedgren straps are very comfortable, never rub pills into a sweater, always stay where they are supposed to! One note: there have been earlier versions of the Leonce bag and they are still for sale on some sites. I would avoid the earlier versions that do not have the front large pocket fully attached and smoothly integral to the whole purse. The front pocket of the first Leonce bag was attached only at the top and fastened with velcro at the bottom -- it looked very unattractive when filled because the pocket just poofed out and spoiled the slim profile. This latest version is a big improvement and is much more attractive!! I'm sure I will get many years out of this bag and can't wait to use it on our upcoming trips.

My Hedgren LEONCE RFID Crossbody Bag arrived sealed in plastic wrapping that displays the Hedgren logo. The product was designed in Belgium and made in Cambodia. This is a lovely bag for travel. As far as my own daily needs, I am used to carrying more items than this bag is designed to hold. That said, I am not certain I need to carry as much as I do on a regular basis, which means I am lugging heavy things that are not necessary to have at my immediate disposal. The lack of room for these items was my only reason for deducting one star from my rating. This bag, which is slim in appearance and will remain close to the body when worn crossbody, has an exterior zipped compartment in the front and another in the back, which is longer than the one in the front. Inside the main zipped compartment on top, there is another zipped compartment that is labeled as being RFID protected. There is also a small pocket for receipts and two that are specifically for pens. As mentioned above, this purse is narrow, and the design is lovely due to that. As such, however, it is not as roomy as some purses that are more forgiving when it comes to placing things inside. If, for example, you have wraparound glasses, they will likely not fit. Some structured eyeglass cases may not fit easily. If you use a wallet of some thickness, it will be difficult to store it in this bag. While one of these items (except for the wraparound glasses) may fit, it will compromise the space when it comes to storing other items in the bag. This bag is meant to be slim, which makes it safer for travel. In fact, I found that my cellphone (in its case) would fit in the outer back pocket of this purse but not in the outer front pocket. When it comes to credit cards, I like to carry several plus ATM cards and also loyalty cards for certain stores. I have a credit card wallet where these items are stored, but there is some thickness to that. When traveling, I would not need so many cards. Perhaps I do not need them every day either, but I have gotten used to carrying what I may or may not need. That is not an option with this purse. There is a small keychain attached to a loop on the bag's exterior that holds a tiny logo cube. I find this to be more of a design feature than a practical place for hanging keys. I like this purse because of its sleek design, the practicality of its water-resistant fabric, its weight, and its adjustable crossbody strap. It is an excellent bag for travel.

This is a nice crossbody bag when you need something kind of neutral and functional. Right now it's on sale for $50, and I think even that's a little high. I would never pay $80 for it. To be fair I'm not familiar with this brand, so maybe there's some brand loyalty that I don't know about, but to me it just seems like a solid, normal purse. The build quality is good. The RFID pocket is nice. In fact it has a good variety of inner pockets. I do appreciate that all of the details are made out of metal so it should be long-lasting. The color is as expected.
