Needed a small safe to store jewelry and perform first line of defense against visitors/vendors from temptation. Both key and 4-digit-code accessible. Very happy with purchase.

We use this safe daily and with the extra steps it has, our finances are very secure.

I don't know what the fire safety rating is, or some of the operating features because the instructions don't state it. But I've kinda got this little safe figured out. First off it's stylish with a nice keypad and polished feet. Comes with mounting hardware too. Upon opening the box little strange leather pieces fell out and they were protecting the door corners. Kinda an odd choice of material with some ostrich leather or faux with the feather spots. For the safe itself I really like that you can open it with the key OR the keypad. It was easy to set a new password. When you close the door and hit # it takes a few turns of the dial for it to lock. I like the key better TBH. The inside is all padded except the shelf. Mine had some smoochy foam in it stopping the shelf from moving during shipping but also a wad of old styrofoam not sure what that was about. Got it all removed. The keypad uses futuristic font. And there's some places where it looks like it could lite up like on the dial but does not. In addition to the keys it comes with a little box with a stereo looking plug. At first it's impossible to know what that's for. But if you search through the videos you can see it's like a jump start box. You pop it open with a screwdriver, load in batteries, hook the cable under the control pad into the port and reportedly then it can add power to the door so you can open it and replace the batteries if you don't have the keys. There's also a little LED light on the inner door but it's so dim it's nearly useless to light the safe. It's automatic and doesn't seem to be adjustable in any way including when it's on or off.

I have had a larger fireproof home safe for about 40 years. But I needed a smaller safe for my backup drives for my computer. I maintain two sets of backup, one that I backup weekly and one that I backup monthly and store in the fireproof safe. The weekly backup is for burglary, at least that is my strategy.This safe arrived well protected in a cardboard box. It is large enough for letter size documents, handguns, and hard drives. The pushbutton combination lock is great and the keyed backup makes the safe even nicer. It comes with an alternate battery backup plugin for gaining access if the batteries die in the safe. The safe isn't fireproof or waterproof so I wouldn't rely on it for anything that could be damaged by water or fire. It comes with 4 heavy duty sleeved bolts for anchoring to floor and/or wall. The safe is small enough to put inside a closet and make it hard enough for burglars to waste time trying to get it out to carry it away, which they could easily do since it doesn't weigh that much. The instructions are fairly good but I did have some difficulty with changing the combination code initially. But I was able to figure it out and it is working the way the instructions described. Because of the quick access, this would be an excellent handgun safe. The interior padding is a faux leather for all the vegans out there like me. The interior shelf is not adjustable and is in a fixed position in the middle as illustrated. However it can be removed completely if not needed by removing pins that hold the shelf in place. The alarm is not that loud and I'm not sure how much of a deterrent or benefit this adds to the safe. It is made in China.This is an excellent value for a small format safe that offers a medium amount of security. It is perfect for my backup computer application. It isn't a high security product but does offer a reasonable amount of security for those items you need a modest amount of protection. For $100 this is a pretty good deal.

Setting up this safe was such a headache that it was not worth the purchase.The first safe came without the reset key. So here I was, reading about a reset key repeatedly, spending almost an hour trying everything that came with the safe, only to realize the key was an actual key, and I did not receive it.After contacting Amazon about it, they sent me a replacement. The replacement came banged up. Then I tried to open the box, but the batteries I had were not strong enough. That part is more me than them, and I did not have Alkaline batteries. It seems the heavy-duty was too weak to keep the door operating. It did open the door originally but placing it inside to operate the safe they were too weak.I finally got the right battery; the second safe did come with the key, but We could not reset it. It took about 5-6 tries for the new code to take despite us following the directions to the letter. I was very annoyed and frustrated at that point.Also, the safe came with parts that are not in the directions, and I still cannot figure out where they go. Honestly, the price is not so cheap that I could not have gone with a more well-known safe. I was looking for a place to put important documents. This is not worth the savings.Also, the inside is not as big as shown. I can keep very few things in there. Some I may have to fold to make them fit. I was so frustrated with the safe that I had not put much in there after figuring it out.I personally would never buy from this brand again. I would not recommend this safe. it is not worth the trouble.

Makes me feel like I'm at a hotel. :)Works perfectly fine and does exactly what you think it should.You can attach this directly to wall studs or concrete with the correct fasteners to keep it even more secure.
