Buy the case. Protect the calculator. It's worth it.
This case has lasted through 3 years of high school and a year of college. The kid I bought it for is ROUGH on things. He can tear up anything. This saved the expensive calculator I bought that will take him through the end of college. I like the strap so he doesn't lose it, and the space for the charging cord is great. It is well worth the money to protect the calculator. Fits well in a backpack.

Great way to protect such an expensive supply for a young student. Keeps everything organized also. I would HIGHLY recommend.

Functional, but colors are off
I got this case in mint green. It fits my TI-84 perfectly. The case is large and very functional. I gave it four stars because the case is made from three completely different colors, which really don't go well together. The exterior is one color, the strap is a completely different color, and the lining is a green that clashes badly with the other two. If you are looking for functionality, this will work great. If you are looking for aesthetics, you might want a different one, or at least not the mint green.
