Nintendo DS Lite Dura-Case - White

Great protection for my DS lite. The sd slots should have been. Game slots in my opinion. Still a cool travel case regardless.

My search for a case for my new Nintendo DS Lite came down to two. This DS Lite Dura-Case and the Nintendo DS Lite Nerf Armor - blue/white . After reading the reviews I actually bought both and except for one day to try out the Nerf Armor, I have used this one exclusively. This case is designed to be used in travel, I keep it in my purse and although it is a bit bulky it keeps it safe from scratches and other damage. I also like that it holds an additional stylus and up to 6 extra game cartridges. If there was anything I would change about this it would be adding something to make it easier to remove your DS Lite. It fits very snugly in the case (a good thing), but because of that it makes it hard to remove. I'm going to try adding a small piece of ribbon underneath, while leaving part of it out to help "pull" it up. Overall this is an excellent case that comes in several colors and at a price that is very affordable.

Ok, First off this is a case not a game. The review template by amazon had this as a game so the star system rating was how fun is the game and rate the game, but this is a case and I rate it 5 stars all the way. Next the picture does not completely match the case I received but thats ok because it matched the description. This case is for the DS Lite only. I dont think it would fit the DSi because the DSi is a little bigger I think and the DS lite fits like a glove, literally, fits perfect. Not so tight that it's hard to get out though, just tip the case over and it falls right out. Holds two styluses, 4 game cards and 2 sd cards. Why the sd cards I dont know??? the DS lite has no use for them so I think this design was a carryover from a DSi case as I see a DSi case on amazon that appears to be from the same company or sister company that has the same layout. The layout I received was 2 game cards on each side with 2 sd cards straight up the middle like that other DSi case. If you have a DS lite this is the one you want if it's a hard case you are after, dont get any of the other ones as this is it. The inside of the case is all hard durable rubber, not foam, it's the same type of rubber used in the small Pelican SD and memory stick cases so it's perfect, like a pink eraser durometer. The outside of the case is hard plastic that may crack if dropped on concrete, it sort of feeels like that type of plastic but I think it's good enough. It wont crack if dropped on any other surface, carpet, wood, grass, car seat, etc...concrete though is a tough call, would be for any case though. The hinge is solid, metal pin, stout knuckles, the latch is just fine and wont break if you dont break it, you would have to try. The latch button is flush on the front of the case and the latch catches and holds the lid automatically when closed, push the button and the lid will open. Cant ask for much more and amaazon has the best price on these, I'm surprised they are as cheap as they are these seems more expensive. Buy it.

I bought myself a DS Lite shortly before Christmas and needed both a case for it and storage for the few games I expect to have. Based on the reviews I decided this looked like a good one and added it to my Amazon Wish List. Like the good man he is, my husband bought it for me for Christmas. My one and only complaint about this case would be that it's a little hard for me to push the button hard enough to get it open, but that could be a factor of my age more than anything else plus it means the cover is less likely to fly open if I happen to drop it. Otherwise I love it. With slots for 6 games and a place for the extra stylus it keeps everything in one neat place. I like how the inside is lined with a rubber-like lining that cushions everything and holds it in a tight grip. I'm not the kind who worries about finger smudges, so that doesn't bother me. The black color of the case also goes well with the crimson and black DS I got, but again I'm not particularly obsessed with the colors of these things. Overall, it is a very nice case that does exactly what I wanted it to - holds my DS, games, and stylus in one convenient and safe spot.

The case is durable, the only con is that u have to take the DS out each time u turn it on or load a game. This proves to be challenging & leads me to use the stylus to remove the DS, which is also tricky to get out of its place. Not ideal for my 4yr old. It has nice game storage. If removing the DS each time isnt a problem for you, i recommend because of durability and storage space alone

I received a rose Nintendo DS Lite for Christmas and figured I'd better find something to protect it from scratches. I ordered a different DS holder that arrived and while it was an okay product except the color wasn't pink but peach, I sent that back and kept looking until I found this product. This product was far superior, in my opinion, than the first case. It's a soft pink (reminds me of strawberry ice cream) that actually matches a set of stylus' that Amazon offers by another manufacturer. I like that my DS Lite isn't going to be joseled around waiting to be scratched, the rubber inside keeps it safely in place...along with places for two extra stylus' and some games. It's all safely fit in without being so snug you can't get things out of...I like that! Since this is a hard plastic with rubber inside, once the DS is inside it does tend to be a little weighty. Personally that's not a big issue for me and my use. I can see me carrying my DS Lite and games around in this case to places around town where I have some waiting to do or even on a trip whether by land, sea or air. It's all compact and it's all there. You just have to remember to bring along the charger. I like the compactness so much, that I don't see the need of having a bigger case to include packing up the charger inside a larger case. My tote bag will do just fine. My only issue, and really it's one I can live with, is that it only holds 4 games, plus one in the DS itself. I have no need for the two SD slots and would have preferred to see them as two more game slots. I just think this is a great product that I would recommend to anyone. When you open it up with everything loaded in the case, it's just a clean, organized means of carrying your DS unit and its accessories. It's all there safely waiting for you to pick it up and start playing.

The dura-case is.. well, what it claims to be. Durable! It's a very nice case, but a little bigger and heavier than I hoped. It comes with extra styluses, and as it shows, the 6 places for games. It's a great choice if you're afraid where you're keeping the DS is unsafe, such as traveling or in your bag. I alternate between this and a lighter case I have, but the lighter case can't hold as many games or an extra stylus. It's great for it's price, I recommend this to anyone who likes to take their DS Lite everywhere with them. TL;DR: pros: Durable, comes with extra styluses, holds 6 games, so it's very travel friendly. cons: Slightly bulky. More information: the case can be annoying to open sometimes (you have to press the button hard before it'll open) but this could be either a pro or con for you.

You know it was a hunt for me to find the perfect case for my ds lite. I wanted something secure and snug but not something difficult to pull my ds out of when I wanted to use it but I did know I wanted it SAFE. now let me tell you. This case has been dropped, its had shit spilled on it, its taken tumbles down the steps and even was able to protect my ds from my niece and nephew when they managed to grab it once. whom are the 'terrible duo' when it comes to electronics. This little baby has endured it all. Now most definitely it shows its battle scars now but I'd rather it be messed up than my DS. My ds lite fits perfectly inside it has room for 4 games and 2 SD cards and 2 stylus's which is awesome for the travel. Only way this could have been made better was if they figured how to cram the charger in there. But hey I don't mind stuffing that into a pocket of my bag or something when I'm on a trip. this case is great. I've no regrets. Worth every penny, and I'd buy from them again assuredly.
