Freakin awesome!
This is a totally awesome little screen! Picture quality was great for the size, which was good as well for the cost! It was pretty easy to set up, I used 3M automotive double sided tape for emblems/ badges and just kinda pushed it into the corner of the metal frame. Works just like a second screen extended desktop. Wallpaper engine on steam for 5 bucks is amazing if you want it to do fancy stuff but also be a second screen. I used it to compliment my AVP setup and scroll animated aliens/ predator wallpapers. If you really want to display pc Stas at all times on this, you could spend 60 bucks on a separate app mentioned by others and you still get a good value i would say.

Unreliable E Waste
This thing is terrible. My first one wouldn't turn on out of the box. I ordered a replacement and boughtg a better power supply to ensure it was getting enough power. New one comes, works beautifully, and fails later that same day. I will be returning and going with a different brand. Avoid this headache.

Great picture and build quality
Purchased this 8.8” display for a Phanteks NV7 computer case. It fits perfect almost as if it were made for the case! I wasn’t sure what to expect but I am really impressed by the picture quality of this screen, it looks fantastic, bright, clear, and great color! Exceeded my expectations. Great build quality, setup is plug-and-play, very sleek looking as well, would look great on your desk. Can easily function for emails, web browser, twitch chat, or monitoring pc temps.

Mostly Great
Screen itself is awesome and Waveshare's customer service is really good if you need it. I needed longer screws than the screen comes with for my application however I couldn't find the size (2.5mm) in any of the specs or documentation. I asked about them on the company's website and they got me an answer on that in less than 8 hours. Screen is plenty bright, good picture quality and I've had zero issues with it. My only complaint is the location of the connectors on the PCB. If you're not using this with a Raspberry Pi then you're stuck with cables coming directly out of the top of the screen with no way to hide them. It's nice they include angle adapters to accommodate use with a Raspberry Pi, but it would be nice if they included ones to be able to plug in HDMI and USB cables without having them stick out the top.

Great Budget Option
8 months of owning this and running it everyday. Works just as well as the day I installed it. 10/10 would recommend.

It doesn't work and it's fragile.
I had it for 2 days, it never turned on. The closest thing I got to it turning on was a flicker. Plus, the cord broke immediately, it was technically my fault. But no other cords I have broke after being pulled the wrong way for a second. Also, it used mini HDMI instead of the normal HDMI. Normally it's just annoying but it is a real problem, because I have no other cords like that due to it being more rare. So, when it broke I couldn't use it anymore. I also think there is something wrong with the cord, because after it broke it smelled like smoke and it should not smell like smoke when there is no current running through it.

quick failure time
It did what I was looking to do, be a second display to put a sensor panel on. Aida64 or another software needed as this is only a display. Downside is it has failed within 2 days of starting to use it. Display stays powered on, backlight is lit and windows recognizes it but no image is displayed unless you power it down for 4-5minutes every hour or so. Requested a replacement, will see if second unit works any better. Edit to add; received replacement display and so far it has been working correctly for roughly 2 weeks now with no issues.
