Compares to Name Brand Powders
The media could not be loaded. My review video shows a product comparison with a few types of root cover up powders. Bottom line, this powder is comparable to other big name brand powders. None of the powders cover as well as a spray, however the sprays are messier and a little more difficult to use, and I only use them when I have at least an inch of roots; when I have a smaller stripe of gray, the powders (with brushes) tend to be easier to apply and cover fine. Sprays also often get on your scalp in your part, and I have to go in with a Q-tip afterwards and try to clean it off. The thing I don’t love about this Mifeloy product is that the applicator is a powder puff. It’s difficult to see what you’re doing and precisely target an area. It’s OK if you have a larger area and are pressing the powder in that whole section. The coverage is good, comparable to the other powders. I think it’s a decent value at $12 for two pots. The Clairol touchup is around $10 for one, and the Madison Reed is over $30. This purchase should last you quite a while. Essentially, I took off a star because I don’t love the applicator but it works fine.

Root Cover Up Powder Works
This Mifeloy 2 pack hair cover up powder works even thought I didn’t like the color on my hair. This was supposed to be for a light brown and it is auburn/red brown. It seems to cover ok, however, I just don’t like the consistency of this powder with the sponge applicator. Pros: awesome compact size, easy to open lid, the base of the container is the applicator. Cons: the color seems off and doesn’t match well enough for my hair and the sponge applicator placed the powder on too heavily. Bonus: you get two powder containers! For me, this was not terrific, but for an in between coloring application, it will help me out ok. Now, I haven’t gone out in the heat to see if I sweat auburn down my face yet - and I don’t plan to. I’m sure this product will work in an air conditioned environment just fine. I might purchase a darker brown once I have finished using these cover up powders. Happy Amazon Shopping!

Just okay and transfers
I used this when I was in between getting a root-touch up. I used mainly on my part line and it did an okay job in covering my gray; however, it did leave a powdery residue. Also, I frequently place my sunglasses on my head and found that the color transferred and once I placed my sunglasses back on my face and once I removed them from my face: It looked like I had a black eye. So, I wish that the color would stay put.

Concentrated formula - start off slow
This powder provides really good coverage. It seriously conceals greys and the color is very concentrated. I took a bit of a heavy hand with it at first, and some ended up on my skin. It actually wasn't so easy to wash off, which leads me to believe that it has good staying power. You need to be careful with this - either use a very light hand, or use a smaller applicator, such as a small brush, because it's hard to get off. Also, I really dislike that it doesn't state anywhere on the packaging where this product is made. The website indicated on the packaging doesn't work either...But I did look up the company and it appears that this likely made in China.

Gives good coverage. Use a brush for best results.
This root touch up powder is quite good. My hair is a mixture of medium and darker brown at the moment so I went with dark brown to ensure good coverage. This is pigmented and a true dark brown shade. There is a round powder puff sponge on the bottom but a make up brush works much better and gives more precision. I use powders for the sides of my hair where gray strands tend to show first. I generally use sprays for larger ares like concealing top roots but this powder works quite well even on larger areas. I always apply root cover up products when my hair is very slightly damp. It bonds better and doesn't fade away. Obviously, this powder will run if I get my hair wet but, in general, it stays put.The jars are very small with a tiny amount of product so I don't think they will last a long time but I did get two so I feel that makes up for how little powder is in the jars. I still rely on my favorite root spray for total coverage but this powder is great for touch ups and can be stashed in my purse for use when I am out and see those silver suckers peeking through.

Easy to apply
I’ve been using hair powders for years and just recently discovered these. Under the bottom is a little Powderpuff. What you do is you dab the powder and the same way that you dab the puff on the powder is the way you’re going to dab it into your head. I dab and swirl gently. It takes a few moments, but it’s worth it. because my hair is dirty blonde it has touches of red. I use both the brown and a blonde powder. I put the brown first getting the scalp covered and then I use the blonde so it blends in better.

Not for everyone with sensitive scalp/skin. Test it before applying, Read ingredient.
I wanted to try this product as a fast concealer to thinning hairline.Since I have sensitive skin/scalp, I did a test on my arm and small section on my scalp.Pros: looks natural with shading, small travel size, no mess, easy to use.Cons: "Only if" you're sensitive (eczema) - this might cause a reaction, not recommended it you're a sweater. Unsure about type of weather and humidity but something to think about when using it.Recommend: 1. test small patch first (I did my arm and small area on my scalp). Unfortunately, my head felt itchy so had to wash off after 20mins. I do have sensitive scalp and can't use certain hair dyes.2. Read ingredientsOverall, a great TEMP alternative to quickly conceal the grays or thinning.
