Great alternative power steps!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked these rough country ones because they were cheaper than the other popular step maker but still strong and solid. I’ve had decent luck with other Rough Country stuff over the years. Value for money: Half the price of the other popular maker and just as strong. I love the clean look on my ‘24 Wildtrak Sasquatch Ease of installation: Super easy to install and the kit came with everything. I didn’t have to modify anything. The instructions were ok but YouTube videos really help. This one uses magnets instead of ODB to detect door opening and has a switch to turn off the system. I like this setup better even if it isn’t as clean. Magnet sensor goes in door jam and magnet goes on door (using sticky tape). You do have to pop some plastic panels to route wires but it wasn’t too bad. I suggest investing in a cheap trim removal kit. Fit: Fit perfect on our ‘24 Bronco Wildtrak Sasquatch 4-door. I don’t have a video of the open/close process but the picture shows how nice it finishes up the look especially covering up the pinch welds. Purchased this in June of 2024 and it’s been rock solid since. No problems, nothing is loose and it just works. Couldn’t be happier.

Excellent choice for the price
Was quoted ridiculous prices from multiple sources for a provide and install for power running boards for our 2023 4Dr Bronco. I decided that my best option would be to take a chance and install myself as I consider myself fairly handy, but by no means am I a mechanic or overly familiar with vehicle components. Because these boards had decent reviews, and the price overall was too good to pass, I took a chance on these. So glad I did. I would agree with others that the instructions are not great, especially when you get to the wiring harness install and routing. The boards mounted extremely easily with the bolts supplied. The wiring harness needs to be routed above the frame so as to avoid having anything exposed on the underside., but by looking at a few you-tube videos and google, I was able to get everything routed and installed with the quick connects. Just plan to have more zip ties to tuck everything up nice and neat. Connection to the battery was fairly strait forward once you get the power leads routed up to the battery area. The most difficult part and where I stumbled was with the magnet locations as they trigger the door sensors to raise and lower the boards. One thing to know as nothing was working for me at the start. After a quick call to customer care.....open all the doors, close all the doors once everything is installed and powered. Let the system recognize everything and within a 15 - 20 seconds, and then after opening a door, the sensors started working properly. I guess it just takes a second for the system to configure. So far I've had this installed for 3 months with no issues. Looks great, and can't be more pleased with this purchase.

Great product!
I am very happy with the steps. The mechanical installation is simple and straight forward. The wiring could be that way too, but... the instructions leave a lot to be desired. All they needed to tell you is that only 3 of the "wires" from the wiring harness need to go inside the vehicle. The brown, white and on off switch. Also, there are 2 nuts that hold the driver's kick panel (under the dead pedal) that must be removed to get it out. The door magnet connections essentially go under the entry kick plates and connect to the brown and white wires. Overall GREAT PRODUCT!

Highly Recommended
I installed the Rough Country retractable steps on my 2022 Ford Bronco with Sasquatch option with factory steps. Previous to installation I would scrape my back on top of door jam every time I got into the Bronco. The new Rough Country Steps when extended are low enough to allow entry without having to crouch to avoid hitting my back on top of door jam. LED lights provide plenty of light at night for safe entry into the Bronco. The steps when retracted make the Bronco look like a lift kit has been installed. Installation not recommended for novice installer but not difficult. The instructions need to be revised to include better/clear photo. Section 4 calls out 17mm socket but bolts have a 16mm hex head. Section 4 does not mention that control box goes on driver side of vehicle. The instructions indicate to fish brown and white harness wires through rubber plug located under carpet on driver side. In my opinion this is correct for the brown wire only. The brown wire controls driver side doors. The white harness wire controls passenger doors and there is no provision in instructions to route wire to passenger side of vehicle inside the cab. I pulled white wire out from under driver side and routed it on transfer case frame rail to passenger side front floor rubber plug. 5th photo is of white (covered by black wire loom) wire routed on back and top of transfer case cross member and then secured by wire loom clamp on driver side and zip ties on passenger side and then through rubber grommet on front passenger side floor. 6th & 7th photos are of passenger motor and LED light wiring harness routed on frame rail that goes over drive shaft and then over fuel tank. Several zip ties used to make sure harness does not fall onto drive shaft. 8th photo is of how i mounted door sensors and magnets. I took me a good 6 hours to install. Novice can plan on 8-12 hours for installation. The most difficult part is routing the wiring harness.
