Melissa & Doug Horse Figurines

I got this as a Christmas present for my daughter. She loves horses and loves to paint, so I figured this would be perfect. I have to say that when they came in I thought they were a bit small. However, since my daughter got them for Christmas she has painted one rather decently. They are small but not to small. They are the right size for small hands. This is something she is able to do without me standing over her and making sure she does not make a mess. She has not decided how to paint the second one yet (which is why I gave up on waiting to post my review). She wants it to be just right. If you have a little one, this is a great item to get if they like or love to paint! She has also dropped them a couple times and they did not break which shocked me, but I still suggest to try not to drop them.

Four-year old loved painting this horse and pony set! She chose the colors and horse markings herself, and absolutely made them her own. Mess potential is minimal if you lay the paint and figures out on paper towels. The activity held her attention, making this set perfect for some quiet time. She was definitely very proud of her work. I also added a story book about horses to the gift. Will definitely buy some of the other animal figures.

These were so adorable, and good quality ! My "camp" kids loved them. The colors are good for horses (brown etc) and the brush worked well. -- you can also split them, and give the smaller one to little kids, and the bigger one to the older kids. They were able to draw spots and faces, not just one big blob of color. The colors have a bit of a nice shine to them.

So much fun to personalize her own horse my girl loves it. I got her this for her 6th birthday and it was the first thing she wanted to do out of everything. Now she has her own cute horse that she made herself. Love it!

The actual size is very small. The horses are only a few inches long and don't look that realistic. Still, I'm sure my daughter will enjoy this activity when she takes it out of the box. She got it for Christmas and it has been almost a month and she hasn't pulled it out of the box. That should tell you that it just doesn't look that exciting or like alot of fun.

Fun crafts for young people.

Melissa and Doug toys are always great quality and this is no different. My daughter had a great time painting her horses. It does need more paint though, she ran out before finishing them.
