Job well done, Grandma!
This pencil sharpener with the automatic stop was just what we needed. The granddaughter had a great time sharpening all of the colored pencils, and I didn’t have to worry about her getting aggressive with the pencil.

Works for my purpose
The adjustable sharpening gauge does not work. It doesn’t matter what setting I put it on, it sharpens my pencils the same. It does have an automatic stop. I bought this to sharpen my colored pencils. I do a lot of coloring, and this is new to me so I can’t speak to how well it will do the job.

Save your money - Junk - Too weak to sharpen a pencil
September 30, 2018PRODUCT EVALUATION - PURCHASER REVIEWRE: ZMOL MODEL JY-212 ELECTRIC PENCIL SHARPENERA PRODUCT OF THE NINGHAI JINYI STATIONERY CO., LTD.ZHEJIANG, CHINAI purchased this product through Amazon because it was described as a wonderful, strong pencil sharpener in the reviewer's comments.Upon receipt of the sharpener, I unpacked it and plugged it in and tried to sharpen some new, Ticonderoga-brand, No. 2, wood pencils. The sharpener immediately stalled and the motor made a loud humming -- just by inserted the pencil. The only way to get it to sharpen a pencil was to very gently insert the pencil and let the sharpener do its job at a very slow rate of progress. Compared to very similarly appearing sharpeners that I have, for instance, the Boston Sharpener models 17 and 18, this sharpener is a useless waste of money. I tried to sharpen just three pencils and it was completely incapable of sharpening a pencil unless I very carefully avoided pushing the pencil in - the way I can with the Boston-brand sharpeners - with enough (normal) force to feed the pencil and get it sharpened like an electric sharpener should work. The motor in this sharpener is simply too weak to do the job. It totally stalls and hums with the slightest pressure on the pencil. The outward appearance of the sharpener mimics the Boston-brand (and other brand) sharpeners that are robust and do a perfectly simple job of sharpening a pencil. This sharpener is a total failure at doing its primary function. It is being returned immediately for a full refund. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SHARPENER TO A FRIEND (OR ANYONE ELSE).
