I liked this book so much. I use it for UPSC history optional preparation

One of the best Medieval History book available in Market. Awesome page quality..but some spelling mistakes are there in the Book.[Editor's Fault 😕].•16 extra pages were stuffed here and there..😡.Generally two books are considered BEST for Medieval ➡️among HISTORY OPTIONAL Aspirants - J.L MEHTA & SATISH CHANDRA.J.L MEHTA's book is a 'three' volume book,which is more like a Story-Book (hence engaging but , more bulky) relying mostly on contemporary texts and lack depth in topics like Vijaynagar Empire, Rajput Kingdom etc.(So not so important for UPSC).{⭐⭐½}SATISH CHANDRA's 'two' volume book is more CONCISE and provide detailed insights about SOCIO-ECONOMIC & ADMINISTRATIVE feature of state..(Therefore more important for UPSC)..but 'Art&Culture' section is not dealt in detail.. {⭐⭐⭐⭐}So I will recommend you to read SATISH CHANDRA supplemented with Vol-III of J.L Mehta..for History optional.For Pre and GS-I read Satish Chandra (single volume) by Orient-Blackswan Publication.

It awares the learners about situations of past and makes the learners infirmative

I surely know this review would neither alert the publisher nor much readers, yet keeping in mind that a good production not only means smooth pages and bold printing but also a neat proof checking, I am writing up a review here. This book certainly holds an important place in every History students rack, meaning it sells too quite well(the verso speaks it all!...reprinted every year!) And yet such poor proof checking? Can't the publisher take the pain of checking their proof text a little bit ? Not a single page was found without any typographical mistake... Horrible... Literally horrible... The publishers should see to the fact that readers have an utterly unpleasant experience while reading a text with such immense amount of errors!... (Avoid this 'har anand publishers' tbh... The orient blackswan edition, though being abridged,atleast relieves the eyes from such horrible sight of typing mistakes...)

encountered lots of spelling mistakes.....for instance look at the last pic....'crane' in place of 'came'.....but content of the book is nice...I like it....plz work on spelling mistakes 👍
