My miniature schnauzer has been trained to use one of these for “Go Outside” and the other for “Supper”. He knows exactly what they mean and employs them with increasing vigor the more he wants either of those things. Time change has been tough on the Supper button. These are great tools and can be a real aid in potty training. They can also be irritating as all heck depending on the personality of your pooch.

The media could not be loaded.  My dog learned “treat” in 5 minutes and learned “play” even faster once she learned treat she understood. It’s hilarious, we have to put the treat button up or she’ll press it constantly. We are trying “outside” next.

Teaching your dog to use this type of thing for communication only works if the dog understands what the button is saying. I couldn’t blame the dog for not understanding what it was saying because I couldn’t understand it either. I tried different distances when recording, as well as different volumes, all for naught. They just aren’t worth the money.

Our dogs caught on to these really quick for treats 😂 our lab mix dives onto them and our pit bull hits it a little more gentle with her paw or nose. It’s cute to see them learn something new!
