Amazing sander for the price. We got this to work on refinishing a cat tree and wanted something that could collect dust on the unit. You should still wear a mask as it doesn't get 100%, but it does handle a lot of it. Also went with corded as we're mainly a Milwaukie household, so didn't have any Bosch batteries on available. This was great about not leaving any marks on the pine pieces we were working on as well as sanding down varnish between coats. You'll want to allow it to glide over surfaces rather than pressing down. The grip is comfortable, and the sandpaper is pretty easy to switch and does a great job of staying on. It doesn't really fit into corners well, so for that we did switch to the Milwaukie detailing sander. They complemented each other well, especially as our goal was to avoid manual sanding as much as possible due to chronic pain. It's powerful enough that we didn't even need to turn it up too high and is overall not too loud to operate. Great tool, really happy with its performance and priced perfectly.

I like the BOSCH ROS20VSC and use it for repairing damaged guitars and building guitar kits, so I need something that can deliver a smooth, controlled finish without risking the wood. It does exactly that—the pad dampening system really helps prevent swirl marks, especially on contoured guitar bodies where precision matters. I was initially hesitant because my previous orbital sander had “variable speed” in name only—it clicked between speeds rather than offering true control. With this Bosch, I get much smoother speed adjustment, which makes it easier to dial things in whether I’m doing rough sanding or a final polish. With prolonged use, it can feel a bit heavy, but for my workload (about 4–7 hours a month), it’s not a dealbreaker. The dust collection system is also a big plus when I’m working indoors on detailed projects like guitars. The guitars I repair or build and then sell help support a bigger mission of mine—to preserve the history of Indie music. I don’t want to lose great songs or artists to time, especially the ones most people have never heard of. Not because they don’t love music, but because we all tend to stay in our comfort zones and don’t always venture outside of them. Overall, would I buy this Bosch orbital sander again? Absolutely—no hesitation. It’s been reliable since November 2023 and performs exactly how I need it to.

Not bad, about average in performance and ergonomic comfort. The hook and loop base plate locks on to sanding discs adequately. The power cord is adequately long yet a little bit stiff compared to higher quality electrical cords. Dust collection is quite good although the dust collection box is held on primarily with an o-ring that will probably loosen up over time. The orbital action is smooth and there is negligible wobble resulting in a quite satisfactory finish. The unit is reasonably quiet. Shipping by UPS could have been better as the shipping box had been significantly crushed on one end, fortunately the tool itself was not damaged.

I typically do not do reviews but on this product I simply had to. It is an amazing product. As for someone who does a lot of finishing work this sander when used properly will NOT leave swirl marks and does an awesome job at bringing out the wood grain. You absolutely cannot go wrong in buying this sander. :)

I used to have a Craftsman Mouse and after decades, it sort of fell apart, so I decided to get a Orbital Sander to replace it. Oh, how I wish I had gotten this years ago! I did a lot of research before choosing this Bosch and I'm really happy with my purchase. The handle is very comfortable and fits right in my palm. It is very powerful for such a small sander and I appreciate the Variable Speed. There's a little dust catch, or you can connect it to a vacuum. Replacement sanding discs are super easy to find, since they use a universal size. Just line up the holes, stick them on and you're all ready to go. For the Price, you simply can't go wrong with this Bosch workhorse. I love this fantastic sander.

I’d call this a light-medium duty tool, meant mostly for finishing work, and I’m very satisfied with it so far. I’ve used it for maybe 25 hours in the short time I’ve owned it, and I’m still pleased. I bought it because multiple other reviewers had commented on how well the dust containment worked, and that was imperative to me since I have a small workspace. The dust containment has lived up to the reviews, and sometimes I turn it on just to suck up dust I’m made while hand-sanding. It has variable power, and the maximum is solidly adequate for the duty level of the tool. The variable motion is effective, and it won’t leave marks unless you push down on it or leave it against the work while switching off. I’ve found the shape and surface of the grip surfaces to be very comfortable no matter how long you use it. The tool is also just barely heavy enough to sand most things under its own weight, which is a necessity. A feature I like a lot, whether it was intended or not, is that the balance of the weight of the motor vs the grip is such that it is very easy to maneuver and control when it’s being used on something other than a horizontal surface. Finally, it feels rock solid. I’ll admit that I haven’t dropped it or really challenged it’s strength in a meaningful way because I haven’t owned it for that long, so I can’t prove it, but it feels just like all of the other sturdy tools I’ve had, and the motor seems to cool itself effectively enough that I’m not really worried about the motor. Great tool, and I look forward to the thousands of hours I intend to put on it.

Estupenda lijadora roto orbital con 6 velocidades. No es ruidosa y genera muy poco polvo. De excelente calidad, muy sólida y de buen peso y tamaño. Siempre que se prende, inicia despacio pero después de 2-3 segundos alcanza la velocidad adecuada.

Great entry level sander. I had the battery Dewalt XR for well over a year before I destroyed it, and the Bosch is much better. Its lightweight, barely vibrates your hand at all and does the job just fine; and I mainly sand hardwoods. For those debating between this and the Dewalt, this is the clear winner.

Excelente compra. Después de 2 meses de uso y 3 proyectos terminados ha sido una verdadera muy buena opción, el agarre es espectacular, no pesa nada y el case donde se almacena el residuo de lo lijado es excelente, super cómoda y fácil de limpiar. La he utilizado hasta 45 minutos continuos en 4ta s 6ta velocidad (que no es recomendable por el instructivo) y no se calienta. fácil colocación de lijas. Hasta el momento no le encuentro ningún punto negativo.

This is my first random orbital sander and it gives smooth and efficient sanding. The handle is very comfortable to hold for long periods and it's very lightweight compared to sanding with my multi-tool attachment. The dust collection system is very efficient and it had reduced my cleanup significantly. I still wear a mask but this really does its job well. The cover is a bit hard to remove though so be careful when cleaning or else you'll have fine dust everywhere. I wish the canister was a bit larger but I do like the option to use my own shop vacuum. Overall, it's a solid choice for DIYers like myself
