I installed an auxiliary battery under the hood of my 2014 Silverado, and used this to secure it in place. This thing is universal, so you may have to make a mod to accommodate, but it was exactly what I was look for. All I had to do was add an eye hook with a nut to go through the extra battery tray that was already under the hood in my truck. Where the Silverados used to have the battery. (Up front drivers side near the back of the headlight) Tray has a threaded hole. I couldn’t find a hook with matching threads, so a smaller diameter fit through the hole, and a nut on the other side. Done. Battery doesn’t move.

Didn't require me to cut any length of of the hooked bar.

These work well for nearly any size battery but you may need to cut the length with a cutting wheel or hack saw. Keep a nut on and back off after cutting to keep the threads.Too tall and the hood ( bonnet) won’t shut with a trim.

Auto place lost part when replacing my battery a couple of years ago. This was a cost effective replacement. It was cute that it color coordinated with my car. Does the job. Seems very sturdy.

Does not fit a Nissan Frontier as advertised, the bolts are too long to allow the hood to close. Also doesn’t include wing nuts as shown in the pictures.

As good as most but it did NOT come with wing nuts as advertised and shown in some photos. Wing nuts make it so it can be done without tools. That matters in a pinch, so it’s misleading, and sloppy to omit something so simple.

Looks more exotic than the generic metal and plastic hold-downs, was very easy to install. I 3D printed finger wheels for the j-hook nuts to make it easier to tighten without a wrench.
