YELLOW - Car/Bike Engine Enamel Paint - 250ml

This paint is brilliant ! Its very thin, & a little bit goes a long way. It's really highly pigmented. This 1 tin has done my MX5 mk1 1.8 engine & gearbox with 2 really good coatings. If you want a lighter shade, pre paint the engine with a light colour, then apply. My gearbox was already painted a very light silver, then I decided to paint it yellow. This produced a lovely yellow, the colour of the writting on the box, however, my engine head & block were not pre painted in a light colour, & I ended up with a more of a mustard colour. This runs really easy, so only use a tiny bit at a time.

I didn't expect anything of high quality due to it being cheap and i was right 🙄 terrible quality and I certainly wouldn't use it on anything that people can see I.e callipers 🤔

The engine has had two coats and looks ok, but I feel it needs a third or forth to look as it should.Easy to apply and clean up.A small pot that goes a long way.

Used this product on my daughter's 13 year old Citroen as practice before attempting the same job on my own car.After preparing and cleaning the calipers and carriers I sprayed on an etching primer followed by hand painting E-Tech by hand. Finish was very smooth and glossy after 3 coats but marked easily during reassembly of the components and required a further 2 coats in-situ. Reasonably happy with final result but will be spray painting the calipers on my own car with an alternative product.
