Math in Focus: A Singapore Approach- Student Workbook, Grade 4A Review: How It Works best. - I have been teaching math using Math in Focus for many years in the classroom. It is a very hands-on approach and easy for students to understand concepts. Students learn various strategies with manipulative materials to show and demonstrate their knowledge. However, the workbook is only a part of the curriculum. In order to teach it properly, the instructor needs the student edition to show how to use a strategy. The workbook is for practice not instruction. It is best to get the teacher manual, the student book, and the workbook. Book A is designed for the first half of the school year and book B for the second half of the year. All the Singapore curriculum is outstanding. I sure wish I had learned math this way as a student. But feel very good about teaching to my students. Review: Love this - Love this approach to teaching math and thinking skills.

Great math workbook!
This is a definite must-have for fourth graders. The math in this workbook is challenging and really prepares youngsters for the more rigorous parts of math in later grades. The only caveat is that there is no answer key. Parents, keep Google on hand in case “you aren’t smarter than a fourth grader!” 🤪

Good At Home Support Tool
Not a fan of the current curriculum. However, in the interest of providing opportunities for success for my children and supporting them at home, this book is right on the money as a tool that parallels the work being done in class. Spend the money. Get this book. And then spend time with your child(ten). Eventually the "new" way of doing even the simplest math will make sense to the both of you! ;-)

math in focus workbook
it seems to have plenty of problems to give him the repetition he needs to learn matter and then builds on that

This book is much easier than I thought, and without the answers sheet;(
