I saw a review that said it doesn’t do the “privacy” job as well at night as it does during the day- does anyone else have this issue?

This film does keep the privacy! During the night, I lighted inside my room and stepped outside. I couldn't see anything in my room. Great! I no longer have to use curtains or blinds both day and night all year round!!!

We have a window right where the shower is. Will this be enough coverage so we don't give a show to the people walking by?

You will give a shadow show to the people walking by. They will be able to see that someone is taking a shower. Unless you take s shower in the dark and then you’d be fine.

Can this be easily and seamlessly matched for an application wider than 17.7 inches? Thank you in advance for your reply.

No I don't think so, unless you were only using about 2/3 of the length. You would have to raise or lower the 2nd piece some to find a match at the right edge of the 1st panel. If you do that, then I think the seam would be barely seen.

Could you use this to cover dresser drawers?

It is designed to adhere to glass or similar (as in very similar) surfaces. Thus, if the dresser drawers were made out of something similar to glass, it might. However, if you have unfinished wood, I don't think it will hold.
