Has this got a timer to turn off at night and back on in the morning ?

I'd ignore what the first poster has put in as an 'answer' - he or she clearly hasn't got a clue about the electricity consumption of this unit and neither about the number of hours in the day it seems! (25/7). For a start it only uses 680 Watts to boil. Next, it only uses 2 Watts to keep the water at near boiling or the temperature you set, not 2kW (which would be 2000 watts, or the equivalent of leaving a 2kW kettle on 24 hours a day!). Just make sure you keep your eye on the blue 'Barber' stripe which shows thick blue lines for the water level. When most of the gauge is showing thin blue stripes - it's time to fill it up again.

Can you dispense all 5 lts at once and how long would that take?

Possibly. When I have emptied mine to clean it I tend to give it a 20 second break so as not to overstrain the motor on it. On average mine dispenses at at a rate of approximately 1 pint in around 15 seconds.

How do clean. Can I use bicarbonate of soda?

There is a pre programmed cleaning setting which works really well using citric acid. I need to use more than the basic amount due to hard water but it works a treat. No idea whether bicarb would work but citric acid is a basic non invasive cleaner and works.

What temperatures i can choose 40 or 50 degree?

I'm not sure that I understand the question but would say that you have a choice of temperatures to set which are; 98°, 85°,60°,50°and 40°. You just set the temperature at whichever you wish the water boiler to maintain. I hope that this helps you.
