EZ-4A Violin Shoulder Rest 4/4 Size - Adjustable to 3/4 Size

Very comfortable and well-made shoulder rest I bought the EVEREST EZ-4A violin shoulder rest for my daughter, and she is very happy with it. It fits her 4/4 violin perfectly and is also adjustable, which is great as she grows. The padding is soft but supportive, making it comfortable to use during long practice sessions. It’s lightweight, easy to attach, and feels very stable while playing. Since using this shoulder rest, her posture has improved and she feels more relaxed when holding the violin. Great quality for the price. Highly recommended for students and young players.

Lasted 18 months - used by student for daily weekday practice and occasional weekend practice. One foot came off, tried to superglue it to the metal screw but that broke off after one use. Not repairable for minor damage, hence removed one star. Bought a new one as a replacement, but will look for repair solutions.

We got this when my child upgraded to a new violin, and it’s been great. The cushion is nicely padded and fits the shoulder well, so my child really loves it. Definitely feels better than the one we used before.

I have been playing the violin for 20 years and this is my brand of choice! I absolutely love it. It is thicker than the Kun rubber grips and lasts wayyyyy longer. It is very easy to put on and take off, only firm at first because of the newness. As you take it on and off it becomes easier to slide on and off without losing and of the grip. My last one of these lasted me 12 years before replacing it. They are amazing for durability.

I was guided to this rest by my classically trained violin instructor from whom I'm learning Scottish fiddle. This Everest rest has a slightly greater curve which fits my body shape and also comes with attachment pads which grip the fiddle better than the other brands (I've tried most of them); because of the feet it can be placed at the rear of the fiddle and not fall off when placed on a stand; as a result I can lower the legs so that the fiddle and rest can snuggle into my neck/clavicle region. I'm very impressed, (I've been a fiddler (not a violinist) for nearly 30 years) and recently have been working to learn Scottish fiddle which for me requires developing my ability to work with notation and practice playing with more classically based posture and left hand/arm positions. This new rest has enabled a more relaxed posture and I'm able to practice with less stress in my jaw and neck. I also discovered new resonance from the fiddle which I really enjoy. I marked the sturdiness a 4 because it's too soon to know how it'll do over years of use.

As an orchestral player, this shoulder rest has been a massive game changer. I can play for hours and hours. Far better than most popular companies such as Wolf and Kun. This is such an affordable rest compared to others. Highly recommend!

This shoulder is made well unfortunately it is not flexible enough for adjustment.
