Lightweight and comfy
I liked the pants, very comfortable and lightweight. Great for hiking. I purchased the khaki and army green colors. The only problem I have is that the army green doesn’t look like the picture. The color looks like a dark brown not an army green.

great pockets, very comfortable (for the most part)
I really like these. They are billed in the listing as women's pants but come with the package marked as men's (which explains the measurements of hip/length as well as the abundance of actual functional pockets). I'm listing my pros and cons below but the quick summary is that these are pretty close to being the perfect hiking/nature-adventuring pants for me!PROS:- POCKETS! I do a lot of hiking and exploring natural areas, and these have six pockets I can actually use for my phone and other equipment. I love cargo pockets and those are ample without being bulky. Velcro seems of good quality and like it will hold up well over time.- comfortable fit. The partially elasticized waist is great for lots of bending over to look at things. It doesn't gape in the back when I crouch down and doesn't cut into my waist. Also, I bought these to fit my waist (I got the 30/32) but there's plenty of room for my hips (which are about 38")--so no issues with waist-to-hip not working for me, which has been an issue for me with men's pants in the past.- it's nice that they convert to shorts, although I don't know how much I'll use that feature. Still nice to have the option.CONS:- as other reviewers have mentioned, the fabric is a bit on the loud side when you are moving. I don't think it's scare-the-animals-away loud but I do wish it weren't quite so...swishy. On that same note, the fabric is a bit slippery and when I put on tall gaiters over them, the gaiters want to slide down a bit (which doesn't happen with any other trail pants I own).- the zipper for the convertible part may or may not rub your leg slightly. I have two pairs of these and on one of the pairs, one of the two zippers has a small spot that rubs against my leg. I can adjust the fabric when it starts and get it more comfortable but normal movement makes the fabric shift again and then it rubs again. It doesn't rub enough to leave my leg raw but it's enough that it's a noticeable and annoying discomfort. Seems to be a quality control issue, since between my two pairs, only 1 of 4 zippers do it.

Good, quality fabric and workmanship.
The weave and quality of these pants was very nice. On the back waistband on each side was a few inches of covered elastic, which helped give a better female fit. The material does make the funny “swish” sound when walking around and thighs rub, but that may be common in this type of pant/material. Material in black color was not at all sheer or see thru to underclothes. They aren’t lined separately, but the weight of fabric is a nice middle of the road type, and you could easily throw leggings underneath if you need a bit more warmth. For you older school types like me, these are not the thin parachute weight pants of our youth!Bottom cuff area is a bit wider than a jogger-style pant, but it has adjusters to be able to cinch bottoms for a narrow, tuck-in boot fit. I like the wider leg as it’s a dressier look that can be more versatile for travel.Sizing- I’m 5’8” and a pretty standard US size 16. The size XL (the largest avail when I ordered) with a 32” length was a bit too snug in the hips and wouldn’t comfortably zip. The length was perfect. Nice pants, that had they come in one size larger might have worked perfectly for a trip next week to the wet Ireland countryside.

Most comfortable hiking pants that actually hold up to hard work outdoors
Ok ladies,If you work outdoors or hike a lot and have had a ridiculously difficult time finding comfortable, non-miserable, hiking pants (with cargo pockets! holy cow!) that can hold up to hard work, I suggest you give these a try.I work outdoors as an environmental scientist, so I'm usually hiking off-trail in really rugged areas (like thorns, rocks, thick brush, and through swamps and wetlands) for hours on end, typically in miserable weather (because nature). I've gone through too many pairs of pants trying to find some that are A) comfortable in 80+ degree heat, climbing steep slopes for hours on end, B) won't tear as soon I go through a thicket, C) actually have real pockets that I can put real things in (like camera, field book, pens/pencils, etc), and D) don't look entirely horrid/unprofessional. I've tried Duluth firehose pants, all the types of Carharts and Wrangler pants you can imagine, random Walmart knock-off "hiking" pants, Columbia pants, etc. None. Have. Worked.Well to my delightful surprise these actually fit the bill (and aren't like $10000). I will never buy work/hiking pants from any other brand again. I have two so far and will probably get more. As far as sizing goes, I'm about 145ish pounds at 5'6 and am definitely curvy and not stick-straight (I have man-calves, thick thighs, a largish bottom, fairly big hips, but a narrower waist, so finding pants of any kind that fit is usually an adventure), and these pants finally fit my body. I ordered a 30" waist with a 30.5" inseam. It helps that part of the waistband is elastic, while still having a zipper/button closure (and extra belt loops - thank you!!). Not to mention they are very lightweight (but don't feel like you're wearing tissue paper) and are actually quick-dry (trust me, I've tested that out many times already). They don't seem to hold on to smells very much either (important when you just walked out of a cow pasture wetland and still have 8 hours to go). And bonus, you can get more than one color if you so please. So, again, highly recommend these pants for hiking, working outdoors, or even anything that would require comfy, lightweight, moisture-wicking pants (with pockets!). Hope this helps someone out and happy hiking/working/whatever you do in these!

Great Pant Lengths!
For the price these pants are really comfy and because I always have trouble getting them long enough, I was so happy to see how perfect they fit. I ordered another pair to take to Iceland (Summer) so we’ll see how they perform. Lots of room in them in case I need to layer tights as well.
