We run a small, family-owned repair shop that works on pretty much everything, and we needed a powerful scanner on a budget, and this X431 Pro Elite delivered! It seems to support almost all makes and models of cars we see at the shop, the interface is simple, stylish and easy for the technicians to use. The unit feels well-made and durable, and the display has a pretty good resolution too. The included updates are nice to stay on top of things. Also, it comes with a convenient plastic carrying case with extra room for additional tools and adapters. So far, I haven't tried any programming, but from a diagnostic standpoint, this is easily better than our "Tool Truck" scanner that costed 10x more to purchase and requires a subscription. The live data is accurate and easy to read, bidirectional functions work as they should, and codes are able to be searched online directly through the onboard wifi. Overall, this unit perfoms tasks at a level that you'd previously had to spend thousands to be able to do. I'd recommend it to anyone, whether you're a DIY guy, shadetree mechanic, or shop tech.

I’ve been working on my own cars for years, and this is by far the best tool I’ve added to my garage. The LAUNCH X431 PRO Elite (2025 model) does it all—full system scans, bidirectional control, ECU coding, and it even supports CAN FD and DOIP for newer vehicles. I’ve used it on my RAM 1500, BMW 3 Series, and my wife’s Toyota Sienna. It found hidden codes, let me run active tests (like fuel pump and fan controls), and helped me program a new battery without going to the dealership. Setup was quick, the interface is easy to use, and the 2 years of free updates is a nice bonus. It’s not the cheapest scanner, but it’s absolutely worth the price if you do your own repairs. It’s already saved me a few hundred bucks. Highly recommend for DIYers or even small shop owners.

What can i say? This pro level tool is everything you could need and then some. I've always been a Autelscan tool guy but launch is really starting to put out some great tools. Right off the bat something i have yet to see in another scanner is if your computer doesn't have the vin stored instead of manually typing in the vin you can actually use the rear cam to scan the vin and it works amazingly. I will say in low light it's not great but if you have a flash light on it, it will light right up. This thing is bidirectional which is one of those things you got to have as a professional mechanic. So far i have really enjoyed using this it's very user friendly faster than all my other scan tools, and has all the tools i need to diag and test components. Some of the features included are -TPMS -Brake Bleed -Battery Matching -steering angle relearn -throttle body relearn -dpf regen all of these and more are just plain and simple needed in this day and age. unfortunately we can't just not have the tool to do it. but, the great thing is we can now get this tool for a extremely affordable price. while using this the graphing features have really been spot on and comparing graphs and being able to record graphs has helped me a lot. being able to program keys is a quick side hustle as well. you can have it programmed in just a few minutes. the tablet itself doesn't seem glitchy it just works and gives a fantastic experience!

I have found this tool to be quite useful, the build is solid, but the UI is a bit rough around the edges. For starers - its great for reading beyond ODB-II DTCs and accessing vehicle control modules. Additionally the bidirectional features and dealer level functions make this a great value. The user Interface however, could use some work - specifically with the English language and common PC prompts and confirmations, as sometimes you're not entirely clear what your saying yes to or confirming. Everything is in English, but the programmers definitely do not use English as their primary language. Access via AutoAuth - so you can unlock the secure gateway on vehicles with that equipped - is very handy, as you don't need to buy a SGW Bypass cable (the subscription is less than most of the cables) One other knock on this unit, for dealer options (model features) that can be activated/altered/adjusted - there is zero guide or indication for expected setting values. So while access is available, change the values at your own risk, as there is no correlation to what entering a 1 or 5 or A will result in, when the change is not a binary yes/no or enable/disable. It would be nice to have a resource to the data field variables and what the optional programming values represent in terms of actual results. Lastly, it would be nice to default all values to Imperial vs Metric, as opposed to each screen, every use, all the time - really annoying. ITs compatible with many vehicles, and I've used this on a RAM 3500 to do TCM relearn, and a Buick Verano to relearn TPMS after tire rotation. It also appears I can run a manual regen, but I have not yet performed this procedure yet. I have one more vehicle to test it on (Nissan), but I expect it will work just fine.

They advertise this product is capable of ECU coding when you buy it but you can’t update a small module with this every function is manual procedure that you can even find on the internet not even computerised procedures. I don’t know why they are rubbing people for just fault code scanner which worths only 60$.

Scanner is perfect. Works as should. Not happy that i orderd off amazon.ca. But i ended up having to pay additional charge of 56 dollars for import fees before they would continue shipping my item. No where in decription did it say was xoming from another country and u gotta pay for import fees. Isnt that reason we order from amazon .ca. Not happy with that. But scanner did come new and works good. Update. I was refunded for import fees. I now given them 5 stars as i am happy with everything else. Scanner is flawless. Will buy again in future
