The FastCap PMMR tape measure is a brilliant tool for any carpenter. The 32mm True system (Little dots for standard measures) is perfectly tailored for framing work and European-style cabinet layouts, making repetitive 32mm measurements effortless and precise. It’s intuitive and makes layouts feel incredibly smooth. The high-contrast tape ensures measurements are easy to read in any light, and the metric/metric reverse (PMMR) design allows me to measure from either hand without flipping the tape—a small feature that makes a big difference. I’m particularly impressed by the erasable notepad and built-in pencil sharpener, which save me from running back and forth to my chop saw. The rugged, compact design feels durable yet light, and the secure belt clip means it’s always within reach, even on busy job sites. The tape is clearly designed with professionals in mind, handling tough environments and delivering consistent accuracy. The only thing I’d change? Adding measurements to the bottom of the tape would make working at height or in awkward positions even easier. It’s a minor suggestion for an otherwise outstanding tool. I’m already planning to get other FastCap models in imperial for added versatility. If they’re anything like this one, they’ll quickly become essentials in my kit. Absolutely brilliant quality! Great if you work predominantly with mm. Extremely accurate and durable. I've dropped it loads of times and can't even see a dent or scratch. This is my second FastCap tape (other is flat back, which is great for marking on flat surfaces). If you're willing to spend a bit more. Go with FastCap!!

I love these tapes, fantastic quality. I have all the variations in my workshop. They are a quality item, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a good tape measure.

I've used all brands from draper to Stanley and milwaukee to tracer but this is by far my favourite. Lightweight with a sturdy clip, the action is smooth and you have the choice of a quick stop press and hold button or locking it off which is a nice touch. The tape itself is accurate (compared to my verniers) and I like the double metric print... saves the faff when measuring from either end of a project. The little notepad on the case is a nice touch for those of us who end up doing the embarrassing walk back to remeasure cause we took a couple of paces and forgot the measurement... The inbuilt sharpener is a nice little addition too. Just get one, or even two if you're a typical woodworker and misplace these as often as I do, you won't regret it.

Generally good with one criticism, the dimensions of the case for internal measurements is marked on the case in inches which is not too intuitive for an all metric tape!

Great tape measure - well made good value

It’s a little on pricy side but this tape measure is bang on. Really accurate, well built, easy to read and pencil sharpener built in, genius! Worth the money and if some care is taken easily a career lasting item.

Easy to read with metric values on opposing sides of the tape (no more imperial) I think values on the underside of the tape would make it perfect but to date it’s not been an issue. Would recommend.
