Love these mounts for a "through hole" camera installation...
I have purchased many of these in the last few months. I do not use them as a "shoe" but they are a great way to mount a camera to anything you are willing to drill. I used them for my rear dash cam ( JooVuu X ) and on all my shooting headsets to mount my action camera ( Contour ROAM3 ). They are very sturdy and light because they are made of aluminum. I have been putting on and off the camera between all my headsets and I have had no problem with any of them. I found these mounts so useful that I decided to keep a couple extra in my drawer at all times because I am sure I will need them for other cameras and one that comes to mind is my spare Arlo Pro 2 camera.

Simple and Effective!
I purchased these because of their compactness and sturdy aluminum design. They work quite well to secure my flashes onto tripod mounts that I move around constantly. I definitely recommend these to anyone wanting a low footprint non-plastic mount.

Very unique
Most other products convert the other direction from a cold shoe to a male stud. I needed mail stud to cold shoe and these work perfectly. I bought them specifically because they are very small very lightweight and do a great job at holding onto my expensive speed lights.

Solid and sturdy
Very sturdy solid mount that holds a Nikon SB 800 without touching bottom contacts. Excellent option for remote flash usage at a great price.

Didnt suite my needs
They are made well but the design isn't perfect for ny needs. The width is adjustable, when it can easily have been a set width.

Exactly what I needed at a fair price.
Well made and machined, very good quality.

perfect for the price
I'm using these for a slightly different purpose than intended. I'm attaching something thin to the 1/4-20 stud on the top of light stand spigots and I needed a "nut" that I could easily hand tighten. These work fine. I wish the serrated edges on the discs were sharper and more grippy, but overall I'm pleased with them and the price. (I've got 8 discs now!) Since I leave these discs on the spigots when the light stands are packed for travel, I've added 20mm x 3mm silicone bumper pad to the top of the disc for a bit of protection. Product arrived on time and in perfect condition. Highly recommended.

Perfect Fit and easy.
Needed an accessory to connect a flash unit to the top of a hiking pole that was already threaded. This little piece worked perfectly and now have an inexpensive way to position a flash unit above my subject.

I needed some fittings for the multitude of devices I now have on my camera. I needed a space for a light, microphone and flash and these allow the addition of a GoPro or additional lighting. They feel very light and I'm unsure the longevity of the fittings but at this price I don't mind replacing them at a future date.

These are handy for attaching things which accept a tripod onto a hotshoe mount instead [or just use them like a bolt to attach through a drilled hole]. I bought 4, it's hardly any more expensive than buying 2. I am just writing a review to point out that while they feel light ("plasticky" per some other reviews) they're probably made out of aluminium alloy as per the description. How do I know? I took a knife to mine and scratched it... it's shiny like metal underneath the black exterior, so definitely not plastic. Surprisingly lightweight though, I can see the confusion.
