Better alternative to long Ethernet cables
Perfect for quickly wiring my PC into the router from a different room. Connection is strong and no heat or other issues hiding it behind furniture. Worth the cost for a well working device

Works Great, Good Speed
I had been using a different brand that worked, but it did not give me good speed. I have fiber-to-the-home so I was expecting high speeds and this gives me that.

Works fine after forcing link speed.
I need to move my Ubiquiti wireless AP closer to the middle of the house. I have ATT fiber and it terminates in a room on the side of the house. I had access to an RG6 cable that I could use to move the AP. I ended up connecting the ATT router to the Unifi UCG Ultra controller. When I finished I could get close to the rated speed for download, but uploads struggled. Looked like a link mismatch issue.. As it turns out the Unifi hardware could do the 2.5 but the ATT (on one of the lan ports) could not. I went into the ATT router config and forced 1G full and did the same thing on the Unifi device. The ethernet lights on the HTEM5 now both indicate 1G (vs starting it one 2.5G and one 1G) and the speed is now close to the rated ISP speed. The actual MOCA link was always showing blue 2.5.So long and short.. there is probably room for improvement in link negotiation, but it is now working great..

RJ45 over COAX, wired Internet for your smart TV
Solves wiring problems. Let me reuse an existing RG6 coax typically used to bring CATV signals around the house to distribute Ethernet. There was a preexisting piece of coax leading from the garage to the basement office. The new fiber modem/router from the cable company was placed in the garage and I needed to get a CAT5 wire to the office in the basement. Running a new wire would have been messy and time consuming. Placed one MoCA adapter at the router in the garage using the supplied coax jumper and Ethernet jumper. Connected the existing coax and placed the other MoCA adapter in the basement office. Instant network! Measured 345Mbps on Ookla speed test. So if you have old coax cable TV wiring in your home of quality cable (RG6 quad shielded) it can be repurposed for dropping RJ45 Ethernet connections for streaming programing and video game consoles. The MoCA network is compatible with higher quality CATV splitters. You need one MoCA adapter for each location where Ethernet is required. This kit comes with two MoCA adapters, CAT5 and coax jumpers, wallwarts for the adapter. Simple plug and play connection.

Technically fine
The device is technically fine, but I should have done more research about the type of cable I had, as that apparently makes a massive difference. My house has old cable from 05 and, while it technically works, it's much slower than my WiFi because of the cable. When using a newer cable for testing, it did get full speed. So, it's no good in this house... But, maybe I can put it to use in my next house. Who knows. Unfortunately, the builders made it fairly impossible to upgrade the existing cable without doing a ton of damage, so I'm stuck with it until my lease is up. Ended up just re-terminating all the phone jacks in the house to be Ethernet instead, and put a switch in the phone box in my closet. Long story short, do a lot of research before you order this. It matters.

Super easy plug and play
Works amazing. i have 1 of these plugged into my router going into a coax port in a wall, then I have 2 more of these in 2 other rooms, 1 connected to a computer, and another one connected to a network switching going to 2 more computers, all with only 1 receiver plugged into the router, 3 adapters total and it handles it like a champ even with all 3 computers using the network, and it all worked instantly without any configuration, was well worth it and I'm very happy with it and only slightly slower then running multiple 50ft ethernet cables along the floor of the house

Excelent speed and realiability
It performs really well. The difference with POE adapters is night and day, almost like having an ethernet cable.

Bought this to convert my office to Ethernet
My home builder only ran one ethernet line in the entire house, but wired up every bedroom with rg6 coax. I work from home and Wifi is a nightmare when you have every other device in your home fighting for bandwidth. I bought this to convert my coax to allow ethernet back to my low voltage panel where my internet router is.you need to buy a MoCa rated coax splitter as well.So you can future proof your other rooms. Then install one in the low voltage panel where it's connected to an ethernet port on your router, and the coax is connected to the input on your coax splitter. The other goes into the room you want ethernet devices connected. Connect it to the wall coax, connect a gigabit ethernet switch (if you have more than one ethernet device like I do...typical nerd) and you'll be off and running. If was very easy for me to install these devices, however be warned that the instructions are VERY sparse. You'll be better off reading the reviews for this device here, than the manufacturers documentation.
