The media could not be loaded. I was excited to find this powder for making wheatgrass juice. I don't have the green thumb it takes to grow wheatgrass in trays, lol... In a garden, yes, much easier. I haven't had it in some time due to this and I know that it takes time to build up to drinking it as it's rather detoxifying. I know that I fare best with drinking it on an empty stomach, usually first thing in the morning. I was wondering if this would stack up as a suitable alternative for fresh wheatgrass.I'll say that the smell of the powder is definitely a very strong wheatgrass smell. It doesn't say how much is suggested to make a 'shot' of wheatgrass juice but the serving size is 1 tsp powder, so this is what I'm aiming towards. I read that a shot of wheatgrass varies between 2 to 4 oz and went with 2 oz. I would say that 2 oz of water with 1 tsp of this powder would produce a hearty drink. Personally, I'm starting with 1/4 tsp and working my way up as I don't want to detox too quickly.I mean...wheatgrass 'does' have an acquired taste and this is no exception. Oh, the cost of good health, lol! It's okay, I know it just takes getting used to. The pro is that I definitely notice an effect when taking this and do feel increased energy right afterwards. However, nothing is going to measure up to fresh wheatgrass. Since I don't fare well making my own and I'm noticing good energy, I'm going to continue with this one.Oh, and wheatgrass juice can stain and takes time to get off. I'm seriously thinking to buy an apron to take with this. For this reason, I'm alternating every other day with wheatgrass tabs. :)

The package is so small ( amount).Far too pricey for amount if you use daily in your green shakes as I do.Quality is good but this only lasts for 7 days if you use daily as part of your routine.

I love wheat grass juice for the way it makes me feel: like Poppy the sailor in the old cartoons, after he chugged a can of spinach . I hate wheat grass juice for its horrible flavor , and sometimes I crave it anyway, because it just feels so good to drink it. I don’t usually make it at home , but in a juice bar I usually order wheat grass shots in carrot juice .This Wilderness Poets Wheat Grass Powder has a milder flavor than I am used to , but fortunatelyit still carries the same feel-good after effect. I mixed a teaspoon of powder into about six ounces of water. I used a frother and it really foamed up a lot , I had to wait for it to settle down to drink it.I was so surprised that it tasted okay , and I just drank it straight .So: the frother was probably not necessary , this powder would probably taste better with juice ,and at $12.99 this package is an excellent value.

Has a fresh green smell as soon as you open the bag. Dissolves alright, but not perfectly. I ordered the Wilderness Poets Organic Wheatgrass Juice Powder to add to my supplement regimen. I chose this brand because it's organic and has no additives or fillers, just straight wheatgrass powder. It is certified organic and is non GMO as well as Vegan and Gluten free. I love the fact that this is grown in the US and not imported from another country. Its also cold pressed meaning the product retains the highest amounts of vitamins and minerals. There are a lot of benefits to using wheatgrass daily. It's really high in nutrients and antioxidants which is important for a healthy immune system. Wheatgrass has been used for centuries for different health related ailments.. This product has a nice earthy aroma and is bright green in color. When mixed with other beverages there is no overwhelming strong flavor, just a bit of a grassy aftertaste. Just make sure to stir it not shake it because it does foam up when shaken. This powder is concentrated and is used as a “shot”. I found six ounces of water to one tsp of mix is a good starting point. It dissolves well and I'm left feeling energized after using it. Overall I am satisfied with my order.

Even though you can see it in the video posted on the Amazon page for this, I was still surprised by just how rich, dark and yet bright green this powder was when I opened the package. It has a nice earthy aroma to it as well, but you know right away you're in for something real. I made a couple of shots for my wife and myself by just following the recommendation of a teaspoon of powder in some cold water. I stirred vigorously with a spoon and that was enough to mostly dissolve the powder. I also squeezed a little fresh lemon juice into both glasses and voila, we had our wheatgrass shots. It does not taste great, at least it didn't to us, but it wasn't hold you nose and gag through it either. It wasn't unpleasant, in other words, but we both could feel the goodness in the glass, if that makes sense. Wheatgrass is full of nutrients, but the star of the show is the antioxidant chlorophyll, which is also what gives it that awesome bright green color. The Wilderness Poet's stuff if 100% USDA organic. At a teaspoon per serving you get 49 in a package, which is a very good value in my book.
