Worth the money if you want to keep squirrels from eating your bird food. Before buying this we had grey squirrels destroying our feeders to get at the seeds and nuts. Bought two of these- a peanut version and a seed version- and both work very well, squirrels cannot figure them out, but birds can eat happily. As long as you follow the instructions and hang them suitably far from ledges or branches which squirrels could use to shift their weight off the feeder. More expensive than basic feeders but they seem very durable so I think worth it. You get what you pay for!

The media could not be loaded.  Very pleased with this product works great. Good value yes. I can clean the feeder easily but some may find it more difficult than others. Size wise great. I personally fill it with peanuts and it attracts a variety of birds like Great Tits and the Great Spotted Woodpecker. I really enjoy watching the birds feed from this feeder and seeing those pesky squirrels struggle. All in all a quality bird feeder.

Had it now up for four months. Took the robin a bit longer than the other small words to work out how to balance on it. Anything larger than a small bird is having to wait on the ground underneath for food flicked out! Squirrel has given up trying to attack it and balance on it. Very happy with it.

This is the best bird feeder I've ever bought 100% squirrel proof and pigeon proof it's worth the investment. It's so easy to clean compared to other feeders. The spring that is in is set to close feeder if anything over 70grams in weight lands on it it will close and fully closed down 150g so all the small birds up to and over the size of a bullfinch they weigh 42grams can happily feed just so you have an idea starlings weigh 99grams black birds 113grams pigeons 368g dove 226gtams red squirrel 255-340grams grey squirrel 400-600grams (there is a useful list of bird weights included in the leaflet that comes with the feeder) the spring can be adjusted to suit the birds you want to feed . Also you can register your feeder as it has a two year warranty with it . The feeder is an excellent size fantastic quality and looks great too . REMEMBER always support the feeder when removing hook as the inside slides out so you dont spill seeds everywhere but they have a lable on it to remind you . The spring action is awesome I have been invaded by 3 squirrels and this is the answer its stopped the wood pigeons and pigeons getting food out so stops them messing everywhere I didnt have any then one day the pigeons arrived and I've done everything to get rid of them and this is the answer to my problems . I can say my bullfinches love this feeder plenty of room for their heads to feed easily compared to the caged squirrel proof feeders that are available and they adapted to the new feeder the first day it went up the goldfinch and green finches love it too and long tailed tits and all the other tits too .it's great to see them feeding as the large pigeons put the smaller birds off from feeding and the squirrels started to fight the pigeons so my bird watching was disrupted by all the chaos and now I'm back to just the birds I want to see and feed in my garden and no messy pigeon poop to deal with they did hang around a few days but once they realised they couldnt get to the food they moved on elsewhere so happy days again. I'm so impressed with this brand and them being 100% squirrel and pigeon proof they are simply the best bird feeders so I have ordered two of the squirrel buster minis to change all my feeders to this brand it saves so much wasted seed and the build quality is awesome what more could you want . I got my feeder on special offer I know they seem expensive but they are worth every penny spent you will not regret this purchase .If i have any issues at all I will up date my review.

Very well designed; the birds took a few days to get the seed, but now they flock around it. Completely secure against squirrels, or any heavier creature.

I bought this after much research about how to deter starlings. One review said it really helped control them because they can only feed one at a time instead of in their usual groups. This is true, as when you set it at the lightest weight it will close when there is more than one starling. But they overcome this problem very easily by taking turns, or one starling throwing down seeds for the others. It doesn't call itself "Starling Buster", so we can't blame it for failing here. It DOES prevent squirrels and pigeons, which is what it sets out to do. However, I have overcome the starling problem by filling it with black sunflower seeds. Their beaks are relatively soft and they struggle to crack these seeds. Most small birds can manage these though the robins are less happy. The first day the starlings threw them out, searching for something they could eat. The second day they did a bit of that but gave up sooner. Ditto the third day. After that they gave up completely. So I have a tactic now. I'm back to filling the Squirrel Buster with mixed bird feed, and if the starlings come back I will take a few days out again with just the sunflower seeds. The photo shows the feeder set to the lightest weight, with a goldfinch and great tit feeding very comfortably on black sunflower seeds.

Great product - only went up yesterday and already attracting a variety of different birds to the garden including a woodpecker. Simple to assemble and looks like it would be easy to clean.Very pleased

Disappointed with the feeder unfortunately. The triangular hanger is difficult to fit on tree branches which is where I like to hang the feeders if I find a branch it will fit on the squirrels find it easy to knock off and all the seed spills out. I tried putting it on the metal feeder but there again the tiny triangle metal hanger was difficult to get round the arms of the feeder. You can only hold the feeder at the top if you hold it anywhere else the bottom falls out and the seed with it.

It is really squirrel proof and it also lasts longer than other feeders.

Works perfectly, it was put to the test within minutes of set up. Peanuts last much longer now, so worth the money for this feeder that does exactly what it says it can do!

Je recherchais une mangeoire empêchant les perruches et pigeons de venir s'y nourrir et j'ai trouvé les produits Squirrel Buster après quelques recherches !Cette mangeoire anti écureuil dispose d'un ressort réglable permettant de "sélectionner" a quels oiseaux on veut donner à manger.Grâce à ce système j'ai pu régler la tension du ressort de sorte à ce que quand une perruche tente de s'y poser, son poids entraîne la baisse de toute la partie mobile de la mangeoire et ferme de ce fait les zones d'accès à la nourriture. C'est vraiment bien pensé et terriblement efficace !Pour affiner le réglage du ressort j'ai volontairement ajouter un gros écrou autour de la tige de suspension (environ 40/50g).La mangeoire dispose d'un volume largement suffisant pour tenir l'hiver complet, les cacahuètes étant grinotées lentement chez moi. Les oiseaux y accèdent à 360 degré.J'utilise donc des cacahuètes spéciales oiseaux mais on peut aussi mettre d'autres aliments solides type granulés, le tout étant derrière une grille obligeant les oiseaux à picorer plutôt qu'à prendre des gros morceaux.ATTENTION : Il ne faut pas réutiliser des cacahuètes de l'année précédente car au fil du temps se développe une toxine mortelle pour les oiseaux (Aflatoxine). Idem si des cacahuètes semblent moisies dans un paquet mieux vaut le jeter.Le démontage est extrêmement simple.Au final cette mangeoire rempli parfaitement son rôle et m'apporte satisfaction, je peux donc nourrir seulement les oiseaux en difficulté et non les espèces qui prolifèrent au dépend des autres.Je mets une étoile de moins pour le fait d'avoir eu a utiliser un écrou perso pour un réglage plus fin afin notamment d'empêcher les perruches plus jeunes et donc plus légères de s'y poser.Je trouve aussi ce modèle un peu cher mais bon les autres alternatives n'étaient pas aussi simple d'utilisation et esthétiques.Il existe dans la gamme d'autres mangeoires de différentes capacitées adaptées aux graines et mélanges divers.
