Caution Keep in Luggage, TSA Made Me Throw Mine Away
It seemed like a nice light, but hard to review when TSA made me throw out my 2 brand new lights at the start of our dive trip. Both were in our carry-on (because of the batteries), but the TSA agents said the metal lens ring was designed to break glass, so not allowed on the plane. I explained it was for protecting the lens against bumping against rocks and coral while diving. Didn't matter, they said it could still be used to break glass. Thus our only options at that point were to toss them in the trash or miss our flight. So never had a chance to use them. I did keep the batteries though. While I've never had a dive light be an issue with TSA prior to this, if you travel, place this light in your hold luggage just to be safe (batteries still must be carry-on).

NOT FOR UNDERWATER USE
I purchase 3 of this lights for scuba diving, two of the three lights never worked, unfortunately it was for an overseas trip and my return window closed. the one that works the light is very faint. I must say all three lights worked on terra firme, I even purchased the recommended grease for them as well. I turn them on and off while on the boat to avoid moving them underwater; but as soon as we hit the water they stop working and haven't worked since. Upon my return from the dive trip I inspected them and found no water had penetrated, so I change the batteries just in case but they never came back on. I see a lot of reviews for dog collars and other uses above the water, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND this item for your diving trips. I cannot trust equipment like this for is always a gamble.

For Scuba But Might Not Work Well Underpressure
Bought this light early this year for scuba diving. Was looking for something inexpensive, yet hopefully reliable. Based on the most current reviews it was hit and miss, but you never know until you try it yourself., and I'm optimistic. The construction of the light ie how I felt, the weight, the on/off switch all felt good when holding it. The charging was fine no issues on charge time.Used the light for 17 dives (3 dives per trip avg 30 min per dive) to an average depth 35ft each dive and by end of day I had some charge left but was completely satisfied that the light got me through the day; Never leaked, no issues with the switch, and before heading out the light had a full charge as indicated. On my 18th dive, with a fully charged light, I got in the water, and when I reached a depth of 47ft (first time this deep with light) the light didn't turn on. I tried multiple times with the switch to no avail. Hmm.As I ascended passed 40 ft I tried the light again and the the charge indicator was flashing yellow, red. Hmm should be full charge green, but the light was flickering, then stayed on, then flicked, then turned off. When I got the surface, once on the boat the light turned on, stayed on, but then turned off. When I got home I examined the light, no leakage anywhere, the charge port was dry (seals worked), and so I charged the light again. The charge indicator was full green when I unplugged, and when I turned the light on, it kept flickering, and it instantly when to a red, yellow charge light . Hm.This light was great until it wasn't. It wasn't user error or anything I can think of (above water) that would cause this situation. The only thought I have is when It went to a deeper death than my usual 35ft avg the light doesn't work well under pressure. For the price, construction, I'd recommend it. However, I would now be skeptical passed a deeper depth whatever that may be for you, mine was passed 35ft. I don't know, you might get lucky, taking it passed 60ft, and based on past reviews some were. That's my review of this light. Good luck !

Bright and waterproof
I bought this to help me see my dog when I let her outside at night as her fur color is black. I live on 6 acres and this makes it so easy to keep an eye on her when out because it’s so bright. I put it on a clip style key ring and it’s easy to put on and take off quickly. So small that it doesn’t bother her at all when walking around. Best part is it’s waterproof so I don’t worry about rainy nights.Like another reviewer, not a huge fan of the button batteries and would prefer it to be rechargeable.

Flawed design.
O-rings on this flashlight are flawed majorly. Took it out late ice fishing season and used it once. When I went to charge it and took off the back cover it was filled with water. This happened after my return date and so I stuck it in rice hoping it would would fix it, but after a month and a half in rice it won't charge or function at all.

Not what I hoped
I bought this light to clip on my dog while I waterfowl hunting before the sun comes up as he's easy to lose tabs on being a chocolate lab. At first I thought it was perfect until I used it. The different light functions worked but it shut itself off automatically around the 45-60min mark. I thought maybe it was the batteries so i replaced them and tried again and the light still shut itself off. I contacted the seller to see if this was normal as i didnt see anything about it in the paperwork and the seller assured me that it was not normal and that they would send me a replacment free of charge. The new light arrived today and this light does the same thing as the first one and shuts itself off at the 45-60min mark. At this point I either got two defective models or this is actually how they are intended to work. I would give 5 stars if the light would stay on until I turned it off. Giving 2 stars for customer service only.
