I have waited around a month to make sure my review is accurate and I hope you find it useful. I will be trying to detail it as much as I can.Reason for purchasing the product:I have a 60 L aquarium, and three fishes only, but the water was never clean after we moved our flat and two angel fishes started to be very stressed from the water as I believe the tap-safe drops where not helping to get rid of the things in the new water and algae were growing fast and I had no hope and I had to make %60 water change every other day, still no hope at all and couldn't figure out what is wrong with the water in the new flat. I had only 3 fishes in the 60L aquarium and three fishes doesn't produce that much waste to make the water like this and before moving i had to only change water %30 every week. So I decided to give this filter a try and I was very happy with the result and here is the filter review.---Filter Media:I must say I never used such a huge filter because I am a beginner, however, it was very easy to put together. The filter came with the inside filter including (active carbon: which is good to absorb the chemicals in the water) ( bio-balls: which are necessary to allow the useful Bactria to live in the filter) and (Ceramic Rings: also to allow allow beneficial bacteria to colonise, and biologically filter your aquarium water - removing ammonia and nitrite. ) all of these three parts are placed separately in mesh bags which allow you to easy add them and take them out when you need to clean the filter. also it comes with three foam bases for the filter to add them underneath these three bags.First when I was checking the filter media i was a bit worried that the foam is very thing and was not sure it will help to clean the water and was thinking i may need to purchase different things and add to the filter (as there is enough space to add whatever you need) but I was wrong I gave it a try and is perfect as it is and you don't need any additional things to add to the media, just add those and you are ready to go!Important thing to remember is to wash all of these things thoroughly for few minutes before adding them, as the carbon will release black material and then when all are clean add them and fix the media.the UV lamp is already fixed and you don't need to do anything to it.( Filter media are very good and more than enough to add to the filter, they all does the job very good and clean the water perfectly, don't worry about it at all and just clean them before you add them and start the filter)Assembling the Filter:The hoses that came with the filter are very good quality, you can tell when you see them that they are thick and heavy duty and very easy to fit together and add to the filter, also the instructions are very simple and easy to follow and in no time you fill find yourself added the filter to the aquarium. However, be careful you need to make sure that the filter is working before you add it to the aquarium and the instructions doesn't say that. Here is how to you do it.Making the filter start before adding it to the aquarium (essential):First fill the filter with water from the aquarium before you close it and make sure you fill it all, then close it and add it to the aquarium ( I however didn't add it to the quarium at this stage, I used a bucket of water from the aquarium and connected the hoses to it) then push the pump on the filter as the instructions says, hold and relase every five seconds and then just keep pushing it fast until it starts. Once the filter starts running, it means it no longer has any air inside the media (don't worry if it is making sounds, these sounds are because there is still air inside the media, and it will stop once all air is gone.). Once all air is gone I connected the filter to the aquarium and started it. Finally the filter is working perfectly and once all air is gone, the filter stopped making any sound ! it is just perfect.For my 60L tank, the water was so clean after less than 24 hours ! it is amazing and crystal and everyone comes to visit us keeps telling me that they never seen a fish tank this clean with this quality water before !The whole filter :filter is so good and silent, the sound it makes is not annoying and can be muted if you create a cover for it from an acoustic foam, however I didn't do that as I didn't feel any need and for me it is very very silent compared to a small filter I used to have before.Now the water is crystal clear and I only change water once a week and %20 just to make sure I remove the nitrate and keep the balance.Due to the size of my fish tank and little number of fishes I have I only clean the filter once every 6 months, and that includes changing carbon and UV light.I am very happy and proud of the water quality and I think the fish tank is now very very easy to maintain thanks to this filter, and I really advice all beginners with small-medium size of fish tank not to be afraid that this is made for big fish tank and get it as it really makes the water clean and minimize the suffering for beginners and allow you to enjoy your new hobby !.

Quick Delivery, UV filter really works, could be a bit quieter, but in general is not bad, simple install. The only thing is the connectors and outlets could be more flexible as at the moment they can only be fitted in one position. Otherwise, a great product.

As in the title it is my 3rd filter from this seller. Works smooth and quite (have aquarium in the bedroom). I had a little problem on the beginning with setting it up with the booster that I have also purchased and I thought that the water output is letting air in, but I have found out that I have connected booster the wrong way and now everything works fantastic. Water is clean and pristine. Fishes also look very happy. I use it for 300l tank.

I got this pump for my 110 litre tank which I have 2 map turtles, they were far too dirty for my old pump and I lost a lot of my fish due to poor water quality. Within hours the water was crystal clear and a week later it's keeping it beautifully clean, the turtles and remaining fish love the fast flow.Now it did take me over an hours to set up, and some reviews said there was a lack of information, this has been rectified and there is a small instruction manual now. My main issue is that there is no way enough pipes to set up for alternative tanks like mine. Especially as most of the connections need to be underwater to form a seal, not very good when you have a partially filled aquarium. I managed to bodge the connections together using pipe and bits from my old pump. This is something that really does need looking into. Also be aware this is a very large pump, it only just fitted in my cupboard.Other than that priming was pretty easy, just make sure you get a perfect seal first, I pumped water all over the carpet at one point. But for the great price and quality of this pump I would recommend it. If it wasn't for the poor selection of pipe attachments it would have been a five star review.

So let’s get straight the point, this is a cheap filter canister and will keep you tank healthy and clean as long as your overall setup and stocking is correct. The pump is noisy as per other reviews and it acts as an air trap which makes things worse. So you need to shake us several times a day if you are using a Nitrate media which generates bubbles. For me this was an interim filter that I will use before my final setup with sump is ready. I keeps puffers so this is 2000 l filter for a 240 l tank puffers are juveniles so much bigger 1500 CADE setup is coming. Would I buy the filter again, probably not as it’s just too noisy and for a filter in an office that’s not good. The Fx6 is awesome and that would be my first choice, but this filter will be in the bin after twelve months maybe 18, so at 99£ you can’t go wrong. However setups need stability so if this is your final and only filter spend more and buy and Fx or Oase. Or Better still just get a sump.Update it also leaks and it’s a pain to fix. So regardless of the other aspects and leaking external filter is a big DONT buy.

Easy to set up in my fluval shaker tank connecting it to the in tank system. It runs so quietly with an excellent flow rate of water.Maintenance is easy with the cutoff system on the filter working with no problems. If I was to look for a downside it would be the pipes that come with the filter are quite rigid so if doing the same as I did then get the connection kit from the tank manufacturer but I really can’t fault this filter.Another excellent product from pond solutions

El filtro fuinciona bien, pero cuando pasaron 5 meses de uso, los tornillos internos de la tapa del motos, ya se estaban oxidando. Y las cestas de material biológico, se habían agrietado en los laterales por el peso de los canutillos, quedando el fondo medio suelto.

J'ai un bac de 450 litres, avec des cichlidés africains du lac Malawi pour résidents.Cette espèce nécessite une filtration de 3 à 4 fois le volume du bac.Cette pompe est totalement adaptée, très pratique puisqu'externe. Importante capacité de filtration grâce aux différents bac amovibles nécessaires à la filtration mécanique et biologique.Utilisation simple, tout comme le nettoyage. Option non négligeable : filtre UVSeul petit reproche, pompe quelque peu bruyante cependant. Je suis obligé de l'éteindre la nuit lorsque j'ai du monde à dormir à proximité. Je suis très satisfait du produit d'un bon rapport qualité/prix.Il suffit d'observer le marché et vous verrez que les pompes aquarium montrent bien souvent des prix exorbitants, je pense notamment à la marque EHEIM. Je recommande cet article sans souci.

le filtre est très bien en lui même, mais fais un bruit sourd très important et a un sicle d'aspiration d'air qui est très aggassant
