Not an overpowering odor eliminator once I plug it in place. When I first smelled it I was thinking it was going to be way to overwhelming but it isn't. I placed it on the floor close to a garbage can and within 24 hrs., the odors in the area all but disappated. Not totally gone but much less noticeable. I didn't want anything plug in and I think sprays are bad for the ozone and for us inhaling them. This seems to be a real good solution. If it lasts a month, I'll be happy and I signed up for auto-ship.Easy to take off the top, remove the film, replace the top and set. No leaking, very clean and should last a month or more. Great value for the money compared to sprays and plug ins.

It took a couple days but the stinky shoe closet that I placed this in now smells like NOTHING, which is what I wanted. It worked great! Suggestion, put as low in space as possible because up high did not work well.

Yes it works amazingly well for odor elimination by my son's diaper pail, however just note that fragrance free doesn't mean odorless - it has a very strong chemical smell when the doors are closed and air is not circulating. I'm having to rotate this in and out of his room from day to night.

We have a dog and the smell in the house was sometimes a "dog stale" upon returning home. When I saw that someone used it with success for litterbox odor, I knew I had to give it a try! It does help with the smell in the house. We have a very small house, so I basically place them around the house to fight humid smells as well since we live in the deep south. They last a pretty long time too, haven't had to replace any yet after several months. I will be buying more! I got the fragrance free and even my sensitive to smell husband doesn't notice them at all.

I like the price point of this product, which runs cheaper than some other alternatives. I also like that it has a neutral odor that is not too floral or too antiseptic, which can give me headaches. The actual container is bland enough to fit into most rooms, that may not be of the same decor or have the same color palette. It lasts long as well, which was a huge plus. A high recommend.

I live in the tropics and everything smells moldy after the rain. I purchased this product in the fragrance free original form and liked it so I thought I would try the lavender scent. I was a bit shocked when I got all four of the lavender ones in a box. I could smell it without opening it and lavender has a rather pungent fragrance. I was a little concerned that my entire closet and bathroom would be overwhelmingly lavender put after placing one under each sink, one in the towel cupboard and one in the closet, I couldn’t smell it the next day unless I specifically opened a door and stuck my head in there. Basically, the strong smell goes away and you are left with a fresh light smell and more importantly, it eliminates the musty damp odor.

I used this charcoal odor eliminator in a newly painted room and it really helped cut down that strong paint smell within a day or two. It’s simple, clean, and actually works — no fake scents, just absorbs odors. That said, you can get basically the same effect by buying activated charcoal (like the kind used for aquariums) and making your own. Still, if you want a ready-made option that looks nice and does the job, this works well. This doesn't actually clean anything and not sure it removes harmful VOCs, but instead just masks the smell.
