Excellent for joining electrics on base boards

I though maybe this product would be a standard connector block with pins screwed into one side of one of the connectors. But no, it really is a dedicated plug/socket combination which firmly pushes together. It's a good snug fit and the connecting lugs are of a reasonable diameter. I'm actually surprised it's only rated at 6A as I would heave thought these connectors would carry a full 13A. Certainly the wires from a standard 13A cable were easily inserted and firmly screwed down on one side of the connector so I have no doubt this could easily sustain 6A @ 250V as rated. Naturally the plastic housing can be cut like normal connector block so this is a good way to make a flexible plug/socket to suit any number of connections. Naturally because there are potentially exposed/live connection screws this would only be suitable for internal/protected applications.

This is an interesting set of twelve electrical connectors for joining bare wires together and adding insulation tape (NOT included) to make a safe connection. The difference with this set is that you can fit each connecting wire to a terminal and then join the two terminals together when fitted via the plug-in connector. The older type was sometimes very fiddly when trying to join the wires together at the same time due to the tiny space between the joined connections. This item is a great idea and well worth the money’
