Good heat for warm side ball python enclosure.
The media could not be loaded. I like the heat lamp, it keeps my warm side at a pretty good ambience for my ball python. He also has a heat lamp to make up for the heat difference. His size tank is a huge 40 gallon, made keeping the heat up difficult til I got this heat lamp. Good value, I've had it for a month now and it doesn't burn out like the basking lights I used to have. It has no light, just heat. It's a good size for the 40 gal tank. You can kind of see the thermometer I took a pic of, had it at 85° at the moment, ignore the high humidity I had just refreshed his substrate with water it spikes the humidity for a while. This lamp was recommended to me by a ball python keeper group on Facebook, and I have been pleased so far. Khan the ball python has been healthy and has good digestion so far.

Keeps Little Guys Warm
Love these heaters! Excellent way to help regulate your terrarium tank temps. Much better than the ceramic heaters.

Works great!
Keeps my 75 gallon tank (48"x18"x20") the perfect temperature. 90° on the hot side and 76° on the cold side. I have it mounted on the top of the lid in a 5-1/2" Flunker's Mini Sun Dome lamp and connected to a IPower digital heat mat controller that shuts it off at 90°. I tried 4 different 100W ceramic bulbs and none ever got the temperature higher than 81°.

Disappointed
I recently just bought a 75W for my ball python, it was a tad too cool for him so I got the 100W one. The 75W had it at 83 degrees Fahrenheit, the 100W also had it at the same exact temperature. Very irritating as now I have two different wattage of heat bulbs which put off the same amount of heat. I should add the temperature in my house has stayed at 74 degrees Fahrenheit. I will be buying a different brand.

Heat for deeper / high tanks
We moved our snake from a 20 gallon (30 x 12 x 12) to a 40 gallon (36 x 18 x 18) and found that our 100 watt ceramic heater could not really reach the bottom of our tank. It was on constantly and only kept the mid range/side of that tank to around 85.With this deep heat thermal lamp at 100 watts, we're easily hitting 95 degrees at the bottom of the tank. During the day it cycles on and off with the light lamp. At night, it's still on most of the night but we're also in winter so the room is chillier than normal. We're using a Fluker's Delux Clamp Lamp 8.5" (any lamp that can handle a ceramic heater can handle this), and a dimming thermostat (Reptizoo has a brand on Amazon we're using with success).

Ball python approved
I started used the thermal heat emitters about 3 years ago for my snakes. It does keep them toasty warm and happy without emitting alot of light in the nighttime.I have not experienced any over heating, butlers, or any ill effects with my snakes since using. I do replace them yearly just to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Only lasted 5 months
Bought this to replace my arcadia 80 watt heat projector for the summer for my Leopard gecko and it only lasted 5 months before blowing out. It was on a thermostat too set to 95° and only on for 12 hours a day. Very DISSAPOINTED but you get what you pay for. The Arcadia 80 watt is back in.
